We could not be more pleased with her and her team. Leading up to our wedding, Kristen was always very responsive and provided us with suggestions. She listened to our vision and led us in the direction that was best for us. She contacted all of our vendors and coordinated with them so that each vendor knew our timeline and vision. Kristen ran our rehearsal and made sure we knew exactly what to do for our big day. She also managed our large wedding party magnificently. We had 7 groomsmen, 7 bridesmaids, a 17 month old ring bearer, and our parents so she managed that handful very well! On the day of the wedding, Kristen personally stopped by our hotel and picked up our details and decor since our venue didn't allow us to store things overnight. The ceremony and reception decor were set up beautifully and just as we talked about. She checked in on us throughout the night and her team helped tear down the decor at the end of the evening. To cap the night, Kristen even arranged for our hotel suite to be freshened up so that we would come back to a clean room after an eventful day. Thank you, Kristen for all that you did for us! We called Lauren ten minutes after stumbling on Laurel & Fey's Yelp page, and Lauren answered on the first ring, despite being in the middle of watching her two kids. That's the kind of communication we had with her in the 8 or so months we spent planning the wedding together. Lauren was such a grounding, calming force, and her incredible eye for design really paid off. It should be noted that this was not an easy wedding to plan: - My husband and I are both Jewish and halfway into planning this wedding, we realized we'd need to pivot and go with a kosher caterer, seeing as a number of our guests were religious. That meant that the design Lauren had created had to be thrown out because we couldn't use rented plates. Lauren came up with a new, beautiful design incorporating the caterer's plates and silverware. - We had a large guest count (ended up being 260 but it could have been 360). - My husband's family is from Azerbaijan, so on top of the kosher element, we needed the food to be served in a certain way (essentially every thirty minutes, family style, and tons of it). - Our ceremony was really nontraditional and incorporated a lot of theatrics (fun, but a challenge to get right, timing-wise). - We had long hours (5pm-2am). I'm probably forgetting a ton, but needless to say, Lauren took everything we threw at her in stride. We didn't do things the traditional way and she just got on board. She also navigated our more challenging vendors with grace and grit. It helped immensely. Also (keep needing to add things) she talked me off a ledge the week before the wedding when I was stressing out about the heat, and offered tons of solutions. We had an incredible wedding that miraculously pleased everyone, most notably us, and we're so grateful to Laurel & Fey!

I first contacted Lauren about 1.5 years before our wedding day, and she was incredibly flexible and responsive to my inquiries and scheduling our initial conversation. We planned our Hawai'i wedding from the mainland, and so most of our communication leading up to the wedding was over email (we able to use her creative consultation a la carte service in addition to the one-month package), and her high level of responsiveness and professionalism sustained itself over the months before the big day. When we were able to sit down with Lauren in person during the week before the wedding, Lauren was super thorough in making sure both my husband and I had everything covered and were aligned on the details and flow of the day. She covered every detail we could (and couldn't) think of, and on top of this was super friendly and laid back.
