He really went out of his way to help me feel confident about what I'd decided on. I had a pretty specific reference and he absolutely nailed it. I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I found this place through a friend a few years ago and it's the only place I will go to now! Everyone there is very knowledgable and friendly and will make sure you are getting the design that you're looking for. I personally have had all of my tattoos done by Billy. He was quick to respond to my inquiry and asked lots of follow up questions to make sure we were both on the same page about what I wanted before I came in. When I got there he made sure to go over the final product with me before beginning. He is so kind and really puts you at ease and does fantastic work! All of my tattoos have healed flawlessly and still look fresh as ever years later. I just recently went back for a new one and can say that it's just as amazing as ever. Can't recommend them enough! I just have a few small pieces but he literally did such an amazing job on every single one!! He's so kind & very professional! I'm a very indecisive person but Billy was so patient & accommodating every single time. For the multi flower tattoo, I wanted all of my family's birth flower in some type of arrangement to match the Lillie's on the other side. I honestly didn't really even know how I wanted them until billy showed me what he came up with & it was everything I wanted!! & the "shading" he did on all the flowers is amazing. Let's be frank. Getting a tattoo freaking hurts. To me, it feels like the artist is taking a newly sharpened pencil to morbidly sunburnt skin. But what I love about my experience so far with Grace Tattoo and Billy Ferrier was that the rest of the process was painless. Billy was professional when we spoke about my idea for my back and he was very prompt in getting drafts of the image to me via email. He was helpful with his suggestions and ideas yet extremely open to my input. When I saw the final draft I was legit emotional--it was as if he read my mind. It didn't matter that my art skills are at Level Stick Figure 101 because he listened to exactly what I said and used his creativity to design a one of a kind piece. After a few years of having a rib cage "piece" that was more or less just badly done tattoos that were placed like stickers, that made no sense what so ever...I decided it was time to really look for a tattoo guy who really vibed with me on what I wanted. the problem is I have a hard time explaining exactly what I want, fortunately I found Alex from Grace. I went in. Immediately the place was just very comfortable and relaxed. I spoke to Alex, within just minutes he took a look at my terrible work (including an infamous mermaphrodite) and told me he can fix it and started throwing ideas with me back and forth. Ive been going for a very elemental theme. Jungle with lush greens, flowers and waterfalls he had ended up covering the mermaid with a huge tree. Next I have a lot of ocean/sky/warrior woman (its hard to explain). We still have a lot of work to do. Quite a bit is still waiting to get covered up/fixed into something beautiful and the large rest will be left up to Alexs precise, detailed art work that he simply spews out onto your skin. His imagination is endless and can almost pull the image in your head out onto paper or your skin. He is very aware of professionalism, knows deep down to the core about tattoo work. Extremely intelligent, funny, witty and a wonderful guy, even when im not getting tattooed I still go in, to say hi and force him to have a cup of coffee with me for two hours. Because HE IS THAT AWESOME. Grace Tattoo is an incredible shop with INCREDIBLE artists that will work with you, who truly enjoy doing challenging different work. This place, Alex's work...has honestly made me feel just...so much better in many aspects about my tattoo, the placement and what it all means in the end. I was just at Grace yesterday. I cannot express what a fantastic experience I had. From the moment I walked in and spoke with Alex I was greeted with a warm, clean, professional atmosphere. There was none of that "super cool" tattoo shop posturing that you sometimes find. It was just nice guys who happen to be great artists who want to do artwork they are proud of. Alex, who I am compelled to say is dipped in so much awesome he glows, did my tattoo which is a cover-up of a name. (Aside: Ladies, please. I know you think you love him, but don't.) I came to Grace Tattoo with a very specific idea of what I wanted and Tim executed it PERFECTLY. It was a watercolor drawing which I gave Tim as a stepping-off point for a larger piece and he drew out what I wanted so accurately. He sent me an email later that day with a rough sketch of my idea, and I absolutely loved it. I went in and we got to work right away in a clean, comfortable environment. Telling a potential customer you are getting tattoos removed doesn't really look good. I am glad however. I waited a year or so, and a new shop opened up in town and I found great artist there.
