It has remained one of my favorite pieces of art all these years later. So when I finally decided I was ready for my chef tattoo, he was the artist I wanted. I was thrilled when he responded to my inquiry with genuine enthusiasm. I could not be more pleased with what we created together. The theme was food plants--but not the food itself--so the piece includes tomato plants, rosemary, chamomile, basil, nasturtium, and some of the critters that live around them. The whole sleeve flows beautifully with the anatomy of my arm in a way that still kind of blows my mind. Later, I asked Kiel to create a memorial tattoo for my father and uncle. With just a few prompts, he designed a vibrant and deeply personal tribute to two of the best men I've ever known. Everything has healed beautifully. Kiel is also wonderful to sit with through long sessions. We end up talking about books, movies, video games, parenting, and the general chaos of trying to be adults in a strange world. The conversation makes the hours easier, and meaningful. He's a genuinely kind human being and an incredibly talented artist. His understanding of anatomy, movement, and color theory makes his work feel alive on the body. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for something distinctive and personal, especially if you're willing to trust a gifted artist to collaborate with you creatively. 10/10. Kendra did a phenomenal job covering up a previous tattoo that had been poorly done from day one…read more She initially suggested changing the design and going bigger, but I really wanted to preserve the original meaning without significantly increasing the size. Kendra listened carefully, then drew a new design freehand directly over the old tattoo and got to work. I cannot express how happy I am with the final result. Kendra is an incredibly talented artist with a true gift for fine line work. On top of that, everyone in the shop was warm and welcoming. Tattoo parlors can sometimes feel intimidating, but this place felt like family from the moment I walked in. Highly recommend! He can turn any thought you have into an amazing piece and make it come to life. He is also one of the "lightest hands" I've experienced when it comes to getting tattoo'd. Erik has done over half of all of my tattoos (some not pictured because I wanted to show his primary style) and it is the least amount of discomfort and pain I have experienced. The shop itself is kept very well. Always clean, always organized, and very welcoming comfortable. The other artists within FMT are also very friendly, courteous, and helpful in all aspects. I don't mean to be a Karen but... I just felt the need to warn people. Do NOT go to this place. My…read morebrother had a good experience getting a piercing from the owner. I went and someone else did it. They did the piercing completely incorrectly and it was a wholly unsanitary environment. After sticking the needle through my cartilage, they then took the needle out before attempting to put the jewelry in. After mangling my ear, they were unable to put the jewelry in. I had never experienced such pain (and I have body piercings that are supposed to be "the most painful piercings"). It is a day later and my ear is truly purple. I will have to go to the doctor on Monday, that is how bad it is. I tried to save some money since it is so cheap here but I definitely wish I would have paid the extra money for the piercing somewhere else instead of the doctor and the antibiotics I will have to take.
