The boat ramp can get pretty busy on the weekends but there is a nice loop you can do that let's put into the river and then back. There is a rope swing at one point of you don't mind getting in the murky water. It is a peaceful kayak route.

Spending time along the Reedy River in Greenville is such a special experience. There are several…read morebeautiful spots to sit and relax, especially near the Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville, and the bridge is a wonderful place to stroll while enjoying the soothing sound of the river and waterfall. What makes it even more meaningful is the history behind it. Beginning in the late 1700s, water-powered industries clustered along the Reedy River, including trading posts, grist and corn mills, a sawmill, an ironworks, the Gower, Cox and Markley Coach Factory, a paper-making factory, and an armory. A century later, textile and apparel mills were established along its banks. Unfortunately, the mills discharged waste and excess dyes into the river, and the Reedy began to suffer from the spoils of progress. By the mid-20th century, downtown Greenville's stretch of the river was so severely polluted by upstream textile mills that the once pristine and popular falls became desolate and unsafe. Seeing how beautiful and vibrant the area is today makes you truly appreciate the restoration and revitalization efforts. It's peaceful, scenic, and rich with history -- definitely a must-visit when you're in Greenville. Cheers!

Since she's only a puppy, we wanted to wait until she stopped running over the smaller dogs and people alike before taking her to a public place where she'd be free to roam and sniff other dogs. The penned in dog area is a great place for a well behaved dog to stretch his/her legs out and chase other dogs. If you've got a smaller pet under 25 lbs. a separate area is available in case the bigger dogs get a little rowdy and while we were there, we saw many pet parents take refuge from the rambunctious packs of Rottweilers, Staffordshire Terriers and Retrievers. There's a little grass but mainly a lot of sand for the dogs to run and roll around in which is ideal for digging but that habit is definitely frowned upon. For pet parents, there's a bench area so you can watch your dog and take a breather and plenty of other dog owners so dog training hints can get swapped and play dates made. The con of such a large open space is when a dog falls in love with another dog and inappropriate humping takes place. I had to take matters into my own hands when trying to get my girl through the first set of gates when a persistent pursuer wouldn't get off her back-literally. The owner was too busy paying attention to the other dogs and had no clue what was going on. So if your dog is not altered, pay close attention otherwise you might be an unintentional grandparent to an unexpected litter. 19/2014

It's situated along the running trail in Spa which is convenient if you're nearby. They've updated a lot in the last year by adding shade structures and picnic tables. There's a beautiful metal archway with vines growing and 2 baby pools you can fill with water for your pup to cool down in. Agility toys have been installed so your fur baby can jump across tires or swerve through poles. It's a good size park with enough room to enjoy your own space while other dogs play. Be sure to check out the community board for upcoming events and don't forget to pick up after your pup!
