On Easter Sunday Morning, 2013, I was denied communion at this church. The web site advertised Holy Communion & Worship service. I was interested in taking Communion with my personal Savior, The Christ. However, when I arrived at the church and was seated near the front, I read in their program that if you are not a member of their particular doctrine, you are not invited to the table of Grace. Disturbed, I found the pastor of the sect. and asked about this policy and stated that I was saved by grace, and have accepted Christ as my Savior and needed on this Easter morning to take both His Body and Blood into my system. the pastor said, "I would rather you refrain'. Defeated, I left Grace Lutheran. Being the only black person in the building, my exist was a crushing blow to my heart. However, the Spirit of Lord is Strong & All knowing. His Spirit lead me to First Christian, where the doors were opened, sermon delivered, and communion shared. Thanks to Jesus, and First Christian, Eugene, my Easter was restored & resurrected! read more
