Our small group is the place we have deeper connections and people we can trust to pray together and mutually share what's really going on in our lives. We have been encouraged to join full time, become members, volunteer, etc, but we don't choose to do that, because we also attend and volunteer at Eugene-Springfield Chinese Christian Fellowship once a month to keep in touch with our cultural heritage. Our friends at church understand that and accept us as we are. If you're looking for a politically active church, this isn't it. They are teaching the Bible but they don't bring up current events and politics. For me, that's a calming break from the divisions in our society. I love the chance to meet in harmony with people who are different from me. But if you want activism, there are other churches.

Pastor Brett is a very good teacher and a humorous projector from the pulpit. He has a way of digging into scripture that will keep you on the edge of the pew so to speak. You just can't wait to hear more of his teaching and intern you hunger for the word of God. I'd also like to point out that the rest of the staff at university fellowship church are very good, talented and caring people. I've seen God move in this church over the last few years in ways that has blessed me beyond anything I had ever imagined for the church. When God present you with a new free building and you've been meeting in corn and alfalfa fields on farms during the summer your jaw just drops to the floor.
