Of all the churches I had attended in my hometown and in my church-visits in Eugene, Harvest did the best job of balancing respect for COVID guidelines and fostering a place of hospitality. We've been attending for more than a year, and have really felt the love of the congregation! I love the way that they are dedicated to loving and serving the area. They aren't just a 'club' or interest group that gets together on Sunday mornings, but they make an impact on the neighborhood they're in. From family events, to partnering with the schools around them, to serving the homeless, Harvest Community Church practices 1 John 3:16-18. Harvest has truly become my family here in Eugene!

This church is run more like a business than a church and the people attending are seen more as worker bees than individuals. We thought we had made some genuine friendships, until the moment we decided to leave when it became clear that those friendships were not true. Those "friends" never reached out to us again and will even pretend they don't see us in public. This same thing has happened to others we know who have also left, and the more we learn about this church and the others in the network the more we realize it is all by design. Like I said above, if you are looking for a good church in Eugene there are plenty to choose from and while this church may appear great upon first glance, it is not a great place to be long term.

With people like me who have trouble understanding dispensations and just generally following along it's a great blessing and a great teaching Ministry. Pastor Brett is a very good teacher and a humorous projector from the pulpit. He has a way of digging into scripture that will keep you on the edge of the pew so to speak. You just can't wait to hear more of his teaching and intern you hunger for the word of God. I'd also like to point out that the rest of the staff at university fellowship church are very good, talented and caring people. I've seen God move in this church over the last few years in ways that has blessed me beyond anything I had ever imagined for the church. When God present you with a new free building and you've been meeting in corn and alfalfa fields on farms during the summer your jaw just drops to the floor.
