The setting is gorgeous--towering trees, peaceful forest trails, and a dog-friendly play/agility area that our pup loved. The sites are level and full hook-up, and the grounds are spotless and well maintained. Small but full kitchen, which was perfect for prepping our meals for the next day. Beds were super comfortable. And even though it was extremely hot outside, the AC did wonders inside the RV. Tucked away in a nice little corner of Shingletown, there is so much nature all around you here, and it is so incredibly peaceful. There's even a nice little nature trail that takes you by a large pond and you end at a beautiful waterfall. Easy to park at your site, and it was about a 20ish minute drive to the Manzanita Lake Entrance to Lassen NP. While Shingletown is small, there was a Dollar General, a great pizza place, and a coffee house that was within a short drive of the camp. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful stay here and would 100% return.

I brought my 8-year-old son Brandon along for his first real fly fishing adventure, and Jack made it a day we'll both remember forever.
