We had a wonderful stay at Tall Timbers BnB. The hosts were very welcoming and the accommodations were very comfortable.
Our family of 3 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tall Timbers for three nights (September 3, 4, and 5, 2023). We chose this location for its proximity (7 miles) to Lassen Volcanic National Park's northwest entrance near Manzanita Lake.
Martha, our host, was super nice, attended to our needs, and cooked a delicious breakfast each morning. Martha served a different breakfast each morning which we absolutely enjoyed. It was so relaxing to dine at a table by the window looking out at pine trees while savoring our breakfasts. I had forgotten to pack my jacket and Martha was kind enough to lend me one of her jackets. The jacket was so helpful as it was windy and chilly in the early mornings and late afternoons at Lassen. Martha also recommended we visit Burney Falls at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. The falls were spectacular! We turned in early each night, so did not sit in the large, nicely appointed common areas. As an added bonus, Milo, the family dog, was so sweet and friendly.
We booked Tall Timbers Family Deluxe Suite which had two bedrooms, a private bathroom, and a private living room on the first floor in a separate corner of the large house. A key was provided to lock the area when we were away. The private living room had a television, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishes, and utensils. The living room setup made it easy for us to heat up our dinners as we did not want to drive into downtown Shingletown. Bedroom #4 had a firm queen bed and Bedroom #3 had a soft memory foam topper on a queen bed. Both bedrooms were clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom shower had very good water pressure. We would definitely come back to stay at Tall Timbers the next time we visit Lassen. read more
