Chelsea , Alyssa & Abby were all patient & gracious during the whole process . Our party turned out to be a bit bigger than we were prepared for & our room was upgraded without additional charges . I was very impressed with the room setup, as it was a big room with chandliers, nice tables and chairs, and looked very beautiful for an event. Even had an upstairs part where one can hang out if a person wants to. We met with a person who is no longer working there, but she was very nice. There are lots of options if one is planning a party: there are breakfast/brunch options, a buffet option, and a sit down option.We would have done a sit down option, which included salad, pasta, fish, steak and chicken dishes. (ask for a sit down menu for specifics) Including options like an open bar. She did a good job answering all our questions and concerns.Also just a small feedback, they should have samples of food around so that a person planning the party knows how the food tastes. While we encase our trust in them to make good Salmon for instance, i think it would be benefical for all party planners to know how the food is. We also checked the restroom, which was clean, and was big and roomy. It is also a little more on the expensive side. While we decided on another venue, I really liked this one despite not really being on the water, but having a small waterfall from the view of the window. The main hall/dining area was kind of dreary, with old chandeliers that looked to be straight out of Disney's Haunted House ride. The staff was nice, though, and when we went to their bar downstairs to take a break from the booming Latin music for a few minutes, we were greeted by several bikers and their wenches as well as a friendly and generous-pouring bartender. This place serves Lech, a Heineken-esque Polish beer, as well as the often-overlooked and awesome War Eagle Kentucky straight bourbon, which helped the rest of the night upstairs go a tad more smoothly. The men's room was reminiscent of a scene in a mobster movie where a likable character is tortured and eventually killed. It was legit scary. So with that, I ask you, "How many Polacks does it take to clean a restroom?"

The buildings look brand new, the lawns are well manicured, the rooms are simple (no coffee machine!) and totally quiet, and the place is HUGE. However, it looks like operations restarted recently and the hotel is not operating at 100%. For instance, while they do serve a good breakfast buffet, there is no restaurant to eat at other than a cafe that only serves beverages and snacks and closes at 2 pm. Also - and this is my favorite part - the hotel was 99% empty when I visited! That was such a trip! I walked and walked and saw almost no one, except for maybe two employees and a small group that seemed to be having some sort of corporate event nestled in a far away corner of the very large premises. I felt like I was in a feel-good episode of the Twilight Zone. I'd go back just to walk around the empty grounds. It was so cool!!! A very surreal experience that I enjoyed very much. Oh - I did eventually run into the bartender and ended up chatting with her for a few hours. She was lovely!

Our rooms were ready right when we got there so that we could drop off our bags. Food/drinks were plentiful throughout the entire conference; every time there was a break from our talks, there was a wide array of snacks set out for us outside the main auditorium. The food during the main meals was also pretty good. The accommodations were pretty nice as well. They have a lot of nice indoor and outdoor spaces for gatherings. There are lots of beautiful spots on the property to walk around and enjoy the nature scenery. Overall, I had a fantastic conference experience here!
