I am posting this review of Denise DeSellier, Real Living Realty Professionals, who works in the…read moreLongmeadow office and her broker, to share our experience and what she has done to our family. We submitted an offer on a home that she had listed in East Longmeadow on January 20th. It was declined and we went on our way looking for another home. Our agent heard back from her a week later that it was, in fact, accepted. We resubmitted the offer on January 28th. She told our agent it was accepted but wouldn't sign the offer until we had a contract on our house. As soon as we had a contract on our house, we resubmitted the offer on Feb 11th. She told our agent she was sending over the purchase and sale agreement. Later the same day our agent checked in with her regarding the contract and miraculously, there was another offer on the same property in her inbox. On February 14th she came back to us and asked for our final and best offer, which we then submitted. On February 18th we were asked to provide a mortgage payoff statement and proof of funds for the earnest money, which we did. Our agent then received the purchase and sale agreement for signature. She was informed on February 20th that we were doing our home inspection of the property we were purchasing the following morning, February 21st at 9:00AM. We completed the home inspection and paid $750 for it on Friday, February 21st. At 4:00PM that day our agent was informed by the seller's attorney that we did not have a contract and that the bank had approved another buyer. No one can explain how this happened. We had a purchase and sale agreement sent to us, we were given the ok to do the home inspection, we paid deposit money and now our house is sold and we have nowhere to move to. My children are devastated. They had picked out paint colors and flooring for their new rooms, the neighborhood we were moving to is where all their friends live. Appliances had been picked out and I have already contracted a moving company because we were told closing had to be on or before March 13th. Denise DeSellier has cost my family money, time and mental anguish. I have never had such a bad experience and I know of other families she has done the same or similar to in the last month. I will be filing formal complaints with the MA department of professional licensure, the Realtors Association of Pioneer Valley and posting this review on all sites available. She should not only lose her license to practice real estate in MA, CT and FL but compensate those families she has done this to. I would advise anyone to NOT do business with her. Do not buy into her commercials, she pays to be endorsed by Barbara Corcoran.

Buyer received appraisal which needed work. the buyer offered to pay for any repairs needed prior to the appraisal in purchase and sale. The agent from this group and buyer sat on the appraisal repairs for 2-3 weeks, claiming they couldn't find anyone to come and give a quote, which is what the buyers lender required to close on the house. 1 WEEK prior to closing on both the house I was selling and the house I was buying, they, buyer and agent still had no one in line to do a quote for the repairs. Out of fear of not being able to close on my new home, I, myself, found someone to do an quote for the repairs because the agent, "didn't live in the area" so she couldn't help the buyer find anyone, and the buyer still hadn't found a company for the quote. I found someone on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend at 8pm. The problem was, the person, not knowing if he was going to be guaranteed the work said he would write the quote for $300. Agent and buyer were notified of the availability of the company to do repair quote. Monday morning rolls around. I get a call from my agent saying the buyer was angry that he was asked to pay $300 on a Sunday night for a repair quote and backed out of the deal 1 WEEK prior to closing. I not only feel like this was a sham, it was deliberate. If this buyer really wanted the house and agreed to pay for the repairs from the start, you have to expect things will come up. and to sit on an repair appraisal for 2-3 weeks and claim you cannot find anyone to give you an estimate to proceed with the deal is not acceptable when I can find someone on a weekend. I lost out on selling my home, all of the work of packing and paying for removal of furniture and renting dumpsters and moving all of my things, losing the purchase of a new home for an angry buyer who didn't want to pay $300 for an estimate that I was helping him get in order to purchase a home that he should have had in line 2-3 weeks ago. This agent was unresponsive to multiple requests and not transparent. Had her buyer informed us of his what I think was "buyers remorse" 3 week s ago we could have worked something out. If you really wanted a house, you wouldn't lose it over $300 1 week prior to closing. Not only did they upend our lives, but also the lives of the peoples home we were purchasing. I wouldn't recommend working with this agent or her company. She should have given better buyers advice and been transparent with my agent about the process. Bad business and terrible professional ethics. Give better advice to your clients.

About December my neighbor said he saw them at our house. I assumed they were not coming. I followed up a few weeks later. They said they left a message for me explaining they under bid the job and it was more complicated then they expected. Our boundaries with our neighbors overlapped. We never received this message. It's unprofessional. They are clearly under staffed. The woman I finally spoke to was very brash. It took an additional couple days to actually speak to this person. We then asked if we could get some sort of idea where we could put a bush to be safe and conservative so as to not be on our neighbors property. They said they would get back to us with something and they never did. Unprofessional. Absolutely rude on the phone. Under staffed. I think most of these places are. I was surprised on how terrible this place was communicating with potential customers. Then when they realize they have no interest in the job they are incredibly rude. I think this company should just be called Smith surveying. One guy. Too many jobs. Incompetent. Sad excuse for a business
