But then you realize it extends this way, and that way, and it just sort of sucks you in deeper and deeper. I spent an hour here, bought way too many books, and could easily have spent another hour. There are absolute diamonds to be found here and the prices are very reasonable. The Iliad also has what every bookstore anywhere should have: cats. There are two cats roaming the bookstore and they are very friendly. If I owned a bookstore, it would be a haven for cats. Well worth a visit and a drive from almost anywhere.

I walked the entire shop. There's a group of couches and beaten up chairs you can sit, if so desired. They have a rather large pile of books on the floor near the register. There's a $2 pile and $3 - $10 pile, but because they are stacked horizontally, one on top of the other, you can only really view what is on top or around the outer edges. It's difficult to view what's down at the bottom of the pile, for certain. Staff are friendly. There are also two resident felines, one red and the other gray. Not only do they have a wide range of book selections but cute gifts as well. From beautiful coffee table books to sweaters and hats it's the book lovers happy place. The staff here continues to be one of the best parts of the experience--always lovely, welcoming, and genuinely helpful without being pushy.
