Fantastic used book store with a wonderful owner! Large selection at a great price and almost all of the books were in good-great condition. Love the huge sci-fi selection and even found some King books in the horror section too! My favorite purchase was a beautiful copy of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. 1990 Reader's Digest edition with illustrations and it couldn't be in better shape. Already half way through the book now :) Will have to return to Next Chapter soon! read more

i would give the store a 3.5 if i could. i may revise my review if i decide to revisit but i thought the store was alright. it definitely had a wonderful selection for a second hand store. it had a huge selection of fiction and history and a lot of informative books as well. the prices seemed pretty fair as well as the owner informed me they were selling fiction paperbacks for $3. they didn't have what i was personally looking for but im sure this wont be the only time i visit. i would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

I love books and I've always been buying off of the Internet but after discovering this place, and how much selection there is, I definitely will start coming back to buy my books here. Too well hidden for it's own good, this book store takes you back to the good old days. No music, coffee, or scones, but it's welcoming and will give you many minutes of browsing pleasure if you aren't in a hurry. The owner is the only employee and sadly he is contemplating retirement. The Bookseller Ya'll. So, about every other week or so, I stop into this little used bookstore close to my house. It's owned by this little old man that I call "Mr. Boyd." He's a retired Navy fighter jet pilot and looks kinda like Carl from the film "Up." Most days, I stop and say hi right away and ask if he's got anything new I might like. Well, this particular day, the shop was busy so I walked past and went to my usual section of mysteries. When the shop cleared out, I walked up to pay. I didn't get a chance to ask for new anything before he piped up with "I got a book in for you! I know you'll just love it!" He walks me over to the animal training section and he taps a book and says "it's. Here somewhere, about this size and color." We both look for several minutes, while talking about my horses. As we are about to give up, I tap another book and said "you sure it's like this size and color?" Mr. Boyd looks at it, his eyes light up with a sparkle and says "that's it! That's the one!" He pulls it out of the shelf and to MY delight, it's "Chosen by a Horse" by Susan Richards. I said "this is so serendipitous! I was literally at Barnes and Noble on Monday looking for this exact book! I've been trying to find it for over a month!" He said "I got it specifically with you in mind and just thought you would want it." I'm not really sure who was more delighted by that.. me (over the entire situation) or Mr. Boyd because I was so happy with that. Y'all that little old man made me cry the whole drive home. I just thought it was such a neat thing that he saw that book somewhere and grabbed it because he knew a regular customer would love it. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy holidays. EDIT TO ADD: as I was about to leave, he remembered he had picked up a box full of Agatha Christie. (My favorite author) He pulled it out, got me a chair and let me go through it. They weren't even priced yet. read more

You can find gorgeous collectibles, a huge assortment of art books, classic literature, and many more genres to choose from. There is some seating for you to check out your selections. Went in for a copy of "Lord of the Flies" for my daughters summer reading list, and was very happy with the shop. Barnes and Noble wanted $20.00 for a paperback copy, he had 3 copies each for $7.00 and I walked out with one. I will always try to give my support to a local book shop instead of caving in it to Amazon. Saw a whole section of plays as I walked out, I will be back again, especially during the holiday gift season. P.S. The Matthew Guy who gave him 1 star for being a little late to open the shop sounds like a real tool. But after the store owner saw that I enjoy humorous personal essays, he handed me a paperback and told me he read it and enjoyed it. Wow. I love that kind of recommendation. I happened upon this bookstore by chance, and I am glad that it happened. Boyd, the owner, was very gracious and helpful in showing me around. I was able to find a book by one of my favorite authors, Neil Gaiman. The selection in the store is more than ample of anything you are looking for from aviation to the best of classic literature and fiction. The organization of the place is also other worldly!
