There truly is a variety of sport necessities and all the extra's I just feel that sizes may be limited, and there are bigger stores like this elsewhere with better bargains. The shoe section we clean and orderly. My wife talked with the shoe guy (sorry did not get his name) but he asked her about what kind of support she needed. He made a few suggestions and offered to get her a pair of each to try on. While she was testing the shoes out he gave her some space to just allow her to get a feel for herself. He then stopped back and said "once your down to your two favorites, put one on each foot and test them side-by-side that way". Great suggestion but again not pushing. She picked a pair and although they were expensive, we tend to keep shoes for a long time so $150 seems worth it! Like the way they helped us and would go back again!

A few times in the past two decades with a few friends who knew what they were doing. It was going to be 4 hours or so on the river. The weather was beautiful and it was so wonderful to soak in all the greens surrounding us. Quite a few herons, osprey, and some kind of warbler. Very nice distance to drive from Gainesville and everyone in there kayak trip today was from Gainesville and they were all very nice. The drive to kayak destination and back in itself was a nice trip with change of scenery and getting out of town on a weekend to avoid the hussles and bussles of every weekend stuff with groceries and errands. Some people saw some alligators and were trying to point them out hiding but we didn't see any on the same trip! We are told that they don't bother people much in general:) When I expreeesed the concern about not being able to keep up with all other kayakers, my husband said that he would leave me behind and if an alligator has not gotten to me on the way back, he will bring me back home if I fall behind. Yes, he is the perfect picture of support!!!! Lars is very laid back and knowledgeable and easy to talk to and we learned a lot during this trip and would love to come back for more. It was such a fun great nature trip!!!!!

This is a review for their archery department…read more I decided recently that I wanted to get back into archery (which for me means traditional target shooting with a recurve bow). After receiving terrible service at a local shop in Gainesville, my boyfriend (who was buying this for me as a birthday present) and I came here. Upon walking into that section they really only have compound bows for bowhunting on display and some very expensive all wood recurves hanging behind the counter. There were plenty of people behind the counter though, and one man asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were looking for and that I was a novice archer who had last shot about 6 years ago. He promptly pulled a box out from underneath the counter, told us the price and asked if it was in our range. We said yes and he began putting it together for us. After he had put it together and showed me how it was done, he had me draw it. I said it was fine and more than I shot in High School, which is what I'm looking for since my archery teacher was always pushing me to try a stronger resistance. He then showed me a product called a "whisker biscuit" (I know, sounds lewd right?), which is basically a special attachment to help with nocking the arrow. It holds the arrow in place, meaning it won't fall out mid-release...which I agree is a good idea to have for a novice...especially since this has happened to me! So he attached that on for us. I asked him about a sight and he led us over to where they sell them and selected one to recommend at my re quest of a reasonably priced one. He picked one out and I looked at it, and really liked it! Fiber optic sight with several different pins to mark different distances so there is no need for adjustment once you set them. After attaching everything we had picked out he asked if we need it taken back apart and we did so he obliged. He let us know there was a sale on some arrows and we picked them up as well; he cut them to the proper size and then we were ready to check out! I know it kind of sounds like he was trying to upsell me on a lot of things, but he did listen to our concerns about price and we knew exactly what we were buying. When recommending a product he told us exactly what it was and why it was a good idea, but never said it was a necessity. At any time we could have requested something cheaper or different and I'm sure he would have obliged us with no problem. Great experience, excellent service. Will definitely come back if I need anything. I'm just sad they're in Orlando and not Gainesville :(

I had ordered a similar sandal by Keen in size 9, and it fit perfectly! I contacted Travel Country Outfitters in frustration. It turns out both Sandals were a size 9, but the Bali shoe appeared a full size larger. They have kindly offered to send me a return label in order to receive a refund. I was torn between the Hoka Speed Goats and Topos, but thanks to Rambo's expertise, I ultimately chose the Topos. They even brought several pairs of the Hokas over from their outlet location to the main store for me to make a decision, which was amazing.
