As usual Roger was an amazing resource and patient with our numerous design and material changes which required additional meetings. He is very responsive to correspondence which I have found to be a challenge in Miami with many businesses. Installation was a breeze. They installed the entire unit in two days and were very meticulous about the smallest details, and cleaned any trash they made. He even threw in a couple of upgrades that he thought would make the unit better. Do not hesitate to use this company!

Summary - I contracted with Lake Worth Custom Cabinetry (LWCC) to do kitchen and bathroom cabinetry…read morefor a renovation of a small cottage in Lake Worth Beach. Everything started out wonderfully, but then the relationship went steeply downhill. LWCC signed a detailed contract, but later demanded additional payment for items included in that contract. They demanded early payment, and then walked off the job without completion. Additionally, there were issues with the quality of their work. The contract I signed with LWCC in February 2021 specified four payments: 50% before work began, 25% when cabinet boxes were completed, and the remaining 25% when all work was completed. In July 2021, they walked off the job without completing the work and demanded the bulk of the final payment before finishing. As I needed the work done in order to receive a certificate of occupancy, I complied. In February of 2022, I reached out requesting they complete the work. They declined and said they had lost a significant amount of money on the job. As they determined the contract price, required I pay more for items already included in the contract, and did not complete the work, I do not see how this could be true. Work never completed, though specified in eight pages of drawings which were included in the contract: 1. A pull out under the kitchen sink for the trash cans - This work was never done. LWCC said trash cans would not fit due to plumbing. But I may have the plumbing changed. So that is irrelevant to the fact that the work was not completed, despite repeated requests. 2. Installation of a "Magic Corner" cabinet accessory - The Magic Corner was included in the contract, but LWCC said I would have to pay for it. I did. However, they did not install it correctly and did not put a door on that cabinet. I am therefore left with a nonfunctional accessory and a gaping hole in my cabinetry. 3. A 33-inch kitchen sink - even though the drawings specified a 33-inch sink, I had to pay a change fee to have it installed. Quality issues include, I have pictures for anyone who is interested: 1. One cabinet had eight highly visible screws within 2 square inches. 2. One cabinet had four highly visible screws holes within 1 square inches. 3. Scuff marks and scratches on one cabinet door. 4. Shelving in pantry was not professionally installed. LWCC built an insert that sits in the cabinet. While it works, it is an obvious after the fact addition.

Rasin came in and immediately put me at ease - offering his expert advice but ultimately making sure I got what I wanted. We exchanged renderings and notes for one day and that was the extent of the design process. Installation was quick and simple and it was exactly what I wanted! Keep in mind I did have to have an electrician involved to get the lights, tv and integrated fireplace all installed but he was very clear about that up front. I hired this handyman to repair a closet shelving system that had pulled away from the wall which…read morewas being used for ordinary clothing storage and was not overloaded beyond normal household use. He assured me that the repair, including the anchors he installed, would support the weight of the clothing and items normally stored in the closet. Unfortunately, only about a week after the repair was completed, the entire system failed again and collapsed. The shelving and clothing ended up on the floor, creating a significant mess and forcing us to empty the closet once more. When I contacted him, he stated that the anchors he installed had held and that the real issue was that I needed an entirely new closet system. However, this was not what I was told when the repair was performed. Had I been advised from the outset that the existing system could not be safely supported or that a replacement was necessary, I would have appreciated that honesty and made a different decision. What is most disappointing is that despite the repair failing after only a week, he refused to return and evaluate the situation without charging an additional service fee. I understand that not every repair is guaranteed forever. However, when a repair fails within days and the customer relied on the handyman's representation that it would support the intended load, I believe standing behind the work and at least reassessing the situation is reasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. **UPDATE: With respect to Mike's response, many of the implications are categorically false, namely, that what is remaining of my closet is still usable and "hanging". The anchors screws, and brackets have bent and are misshaped. He also indicated fixed my toilet for "free" when, in fact, he actually exacerbated the issue and spent no more than a minute looking at the toilet and twisting the float and fill valve. So the contention that he was being generous with his time is unfounded. With respect to the text messages he's alluding to, admittedly, he did indicate he did not warranty his work, but also claimed "I'll also say this, I've never hung any shelving in somebody's called me back later and said that it came down". Moreover, "I can tell you that it's gonna go in with anchors at hold 220 pounds each and there's probably gonna be three or four so outside of that hopefully it lasts a long time". That said, given the estimated weight of the closet was no more than 150 pounds, that was less than 35% of its intended total weight, which should've held it without incident. Moreover, it's only been one week as opposed to two since he performed the job Finally, the mere fact that he wouldn't return to audit the job or two provide structured guidance and repair onsite as a gesture of Goodwill is woefully inadequate.

Also added on extra charges at the end ($900), even after clarifying everything before the work was performed. Overall, work was decent, but I can't recommend based on character and price gouging at the end. They painted the entire interior and exterior of the house. I have painted professionally, and I worked along-side the crew part of the time and was able to point out many other things along the way, that probably wouldn't have been done if I wasn't there. Here is a list of issues we had: Exterior: Did not properly scrape loose paint and fill cracks (partially fixed) Missed painting a board on soffit Painted gate wrong color (did fix) Had to go back and re-roll because of lines (did fix) Overspray in a few areas Sand painted into the front door Paint drips around the house Interior: Overspray onto floors and cabinets Paint drips on floor throughout Missed entire sections of wall Did not paint ceiling in 2 closets (was on contract) Did not perform work that he verbally agreed to but didn't want to write into the contract Paint on door handles and outlets Biggest issue was add-on prices and failure to stick with their word. Then, when the job was "done" would not respond to phone calls. Except for billing, when he tried twist contract wording to justify huge add on costs. I can't work with or recommend people like that.

Not only did he not fix the broken piece of wood, he cut open the back of my couch with what looks like a serrated knife, he stapled it back together, and he colored it with a brown marker....my couch is grey. Upon completion he was asked if this was how he left other customers couches, and his reply was "yes, this was hard work".
