I called Martin's to express my feelings and was told at that time the cabbage rolls were $1.50 for half - no one ever said that to me when I was ordering. Who serves - or sells for that matter - cabbage rolls clearly cut in half. This was a fairly large party - my guests weren't even sure what they were in the pan, but I made sure they all knew they came from Martins and how unhappy we were. again who half sells half of a cabbage roll!

They cooked a huge variety of food for us at the tasting and sent us home with boxes of leftovers. My husband is a vegetarian who eats fish, and we had some vegetarian and vegan guests to consider. The Monteverdes were wonderful about helping us tailor the menu to accommodate everyone, for example, roasting vegetables in oil instead of butter. On the day of, their team was at the site early with us, setting up extremely professionally and being generally very helpful. This continued throughout the entire day - their staff never seemed to be resting, but always helping to make the evening flow smoothly, even helping us make sure that the cookie table, which they were not technically responsible for, was in order. Many of our guests told us that it was "the best wedding food they have had," or "not like typical 'wedding food' at all"...and everyone got plenty to eat. Kelly and staff also care about food allergies and dietary needs and was great to work with for that as we had a few folks with gluten and vegetarian requests.
