I loved the lamb chops! I had to come back the next day for more. Parking is very hard to find since it's so tight and full of food (mostly halal) trucks. Only gave 4 stars since I did not like the parking situation nor do I like my food being smothered with sauce. There are homeless people wandering around that area. So it did feel a bit unsafe. Better to go during the day.
Ordered this on DoorDash so I can't speak for the service. However the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the taste of the chicken.
I'm a huge supporter of local/hole-in-the-wall places and so I think this is a food truck worth supporting. I can't say much about the ambiance because I have only gotten delivery but the food is SO good: some of the meats (e.g. chicken) is not the most tender but the sauces they pair it with are immaculate. I am especially a huge fan of the chimichurri and jalapeno cilantro salsa avocado for their tacos. I get it every time. The wings are also a must. And you definitely get what you pay: the portions are very large. Maybe I'll drop by in-person to see what service is like but I never had any delays with my orders. I hope to see this place grow!
I ordered from Gormandize through Uber Eats, and overall, it was a good experience! The food arrived fresh, well-packaged, and still warm which is always a good sign with delivery. I got the white sauce with my grilled wings meal, and let me just say as a sauce connoisseur... fire. Creamy, flavorful, and the perfect balance to the spice. It really pulled everything together. The lamb taco was on point as well, the avocado gave it a nice creaminess to the rich taste of the lamb. Portion size was solid, and the ingredients tasted fresh.
The smells coming from this food truck are tantalizingly irresistible. Food was made fresh to order. Good portion sizes. They definitely could add more seasoning to the meat and the rice. Overall good food for price point.
10/10 Again! Second time coming in 1 week. Food is freakin good! Flavorful and authentic, plentiful portions and that oh so good garlic sauce! Excellent customer service and easy to find locations! Love the late hours !
I decided to try this place after seeing it on social media. It was definitely worth the hype!! I stopped by for a late night dinner and was very impressed by the portions. Each meat was smoked to perfection and the white sauce paired very nicely with all of it. I just wished I lived or worked nearby because this place would take all of my money! Highly recommend!!
Finally visited the famous galleria food truck park that I've been seeing on Instagram. Parking was a bit tough as there are not many spots and cars are going in every direction. Be prepared to eat in your car or on your trunk because there is no where to sit. Gourmandize had a bit of a line compared to the other food trucks, but we surprisingly only waited 10-15 minutes for our food to be ready! I ordered the merguez taco, shish lamb taco, and a rice bowl. Can I just say that the merguez taco was absolutely amazing. The charcoal grilled spicy lamb and beef sausage with salsas, jalapeño, cilantro, and avocado were the perfect mix of Mediterranean and Mexican. PS I would bring extra napkins and utensils as they had a limited supply.
I seem to be coming here weekly unintentionally,... I just somehow end up here. And the lamb chops over rice and wings (please cook them a little slower, last order was a bit burnt) over rice just somehow end up in my tummy. Idk what's going on. Flavors are so good! I can't stop.
Tried this halal truck for the first time, and it was hyped up to me by several friends. As the rating suggests, I was not amazed, and as an avid supporter of halal/Mediterranean trucks, this one disappointed me, especially after such high praise. The portion size of the Merguez wrap was very small, especially for the price. The flavor was not bad, but it was not amazing nor worth coming back for. Not sure if there are other items that people really like, but the Merguez was one that I was recommended several times and I was not satisfied. Also, in comparison to the other food trucks in the park, this one was exceptionally slow, despite all having the same amount of traffic. My friends had their orders within 5-10 min, and mine took well over 20 min. Needless to say, but if I'm back in the area, I would go to the other food trucks over this one.
Shawarma became a slim Jim. Seems the owners changed the shawarma has gotten slimmer and shorter with it being the same price. They used to also toast the bread which they no longer do.
Gourmandize is freaking amazing! 5 out of 5! I don't know the words to speak more highly of this food truck. Every thing on the menu is amazing! My favorite thing here are their charcoal wings. OMG these wings are so damn good! I can not speak more highly of their wing. I have to say they have to be my most favorite wings. For the most part I usually only order from them off of DoorDash but the times I have been there to order in person the staff has always been nice. Everything here is made to order so expect a little bit of a wait on orders, so I recommend calling an order in, in advance but it's worth the wait. I've been wanting to try these guys for a while, like almost 2 years. Either I'm not in the area, or I'm broke lol. The 15 wait kinda sucks when you are in a hurry but tbh it was worth it and I hit them up 2 days in a row. Food is fantastic the wings and rice was definitely a favorite the shawarma's were juicy and sauced up. Will definitely go out of my way in the future. read more
Ordered takeout for the first time from this place and received my ordered pretty fast. The lamb is seasoned well and the sauce on the side is a plus. There's plenty food, I wasn't able to eat it all in one sitting and I will for sure be returning. read more

Grilled wings over rice was delicious, definitely going to have to come back whenever get back to Houston. The Flavors of the grilled chicken was superb and the rice was magnificent, I would have eaten the rice alone it was so good!! read more

Really good food and it's Halal. I visited this food truck one late night when I was out with a friend who had a dietary restriction to eat Halal. This place did not disappoint. We got their Lamb Shawarma Sandwich. It was juicy and seasoned quite well. It did take a little bit for our food to be prepared, but it might be because they prepare lamb on order only after a certain time in the evening. There are a few other food trucks around here, making it a good location for eating out with friends that want to eat different cuisines. read more
I've ordered from this place like 6x already. Always been delivered but the food came perfectly heated. The wings are sooooo good! Like not even lying. Dip it in that white garlic sauce and omg it's heaven. The rice is so good. Pairs so well with the chicken and rice with the sauces. Also, the salad is so delicious. I recommend this spot. read more
Stumbled across this spot at the galleria food truck park and it did not disappoint! I looked at the reviews and tried the merguez wrap and it was really good! It was like a lamb/beef sausage in a wrap! They said it was spicy but I didn't personally find too spicy. It's very well seasoned and you bc a tell it's grilled which left a good smoky flavor to me. Only critique was that I wish it was a bit warmer (because I ate it in the parking lot) but popping in the air fryer or microwave would've set it off! I'll definitely be back! read more

Wow I couldn't have been more disappointed. I was so stoked to try this place after seeing the social media photos. After waiting 25 minutes for my order, the food was very underwhelming. I ordered the Marquez and the lamb taco. Both lacked flavor. There needed to be a sauce or something. It just tasted like grilled meat inside a tortilla poorly seasoned. You can try it for yourself, but I've had way better even from gyro hut or franchises like that. I'm got cat phished lol read more
Located in the Galleria Food Truck Park, there isn't very much parking if it's remotely busy. We got lucky with a parking spot, but most people had to park on the street and walk a bit. We came at 10pm on a Friday and the wait was 25 minutes for food to come out, even though there was no line when we got there. I think it might be the standard wait time no matter what you get or how busy it is. We walked around while waiting and must have missed them call our name because when we came back to wait, they didn't give us our order even though it was ready. They were calling other people and handing them their food, but never us. We waited an extra 15 minutes, thinking it just wasn't ready, because we thought the guy at the window would give it to us when he saw we came back. Even when there was no line. He didn't. We had to get in line, because a line eventually formed, and go up to the window to ask for our order that had been sitting out for 15-20 minutes by that point. It was honestly really annoying. Because of this, we ended up waiting 40 minutes when it was probably ready in 15-20...most people don't stand around waiting for 25 minutes. They usually walk around or go to their car. I don't think it's too much to expect them to notice us come back and give us our order when there's not even a line. That's just like basic service...But I guess they want people to constantly come up to the window and bother them asking about their order. So be warned (this might vary depending on the guy working the window too). Despite this, the food was really good! We drove home instead of eating outside or in our car, so by the time we actually ate the food, it had been over an hour since we placed our order *eyeroll*. We had to microwave it because it was cold by that point, but it held up and tasted fresh. LAMB KABOB: This was actually soooooo good. Almost made the bad service worth it. There was a lot of lamb, so they didn't skimp out. You could really taste the natural, gamey lamb flavor, and I really liked that, but my bf didn't and thought it needed more seasoning. It just depends on what you like. But there was a lot of delicious sauce, so it wasn't dry, and the onions, tomatoes, and cilantro worked really well to make it feel lighter. I didn't know how I'd feel about the fries inside, but I didn't really notice them. I don't even know if they were seasoned. They kinda felt like filler, but not in a bad way. Also, this was 10 inches long, wrapped in a thin pita bread. I was shocked at how big it was. I'd definitely get this again. I'll just wait at the window next time lol (fyi: a lot of oil drained from this, so be careful of it dripping) MERGUEZ WRAP: Very flavorful. My bf liked this one way more than the lamb kabob because he liked the seasoning and spice, but I still liked the lamb better. It says it's a sausage on the menu, but there's no casing, so the meat ended up crumbing and resembling ground meat as opposed to a sausage. It has the same toppings as the lamb, so it was delicious as well. Also wrapped in a 10 inch, thin pita bread. I'd recommend it if you want something with a little kick to it. read more
Pricey for a food truck, but expected when you are near the galleria area. Gourmandize brings gourmet Mediterranean food to you, straight out of a truck. Located within the Galleria Food Truck Park, Gourmandize has many perks since its open late and has tons of options to chose from. We came here on a Friday night, and the place was definitely popular and very busy. This whole area is pretty much a vibe during the weekend. The customer service was descent, but it did take quite a while for our food to be ready. At least 20 minutes for an order of hummus with lamb. The Loaded Hummus Combo came with only one piece of pita bread, and the portion sized seemed a bit small, so we were very hesitant when we got back home to eat it. The minute that lamb and hummus hit my taste buds it was absolutely delicious. Amazing, fantastic, just delicious. It was all worth it, and this is certainly one of the best food trucks parked in the area, and one I'd consider returning to. read more

So impressed by Gourmandize and their Tunisian way of doing wraps and over rice entrees. We stopped by on a Sunday and got the Merguez wrap which consists of a lamb and beef mixture accompanied with a house sauce, veggies and French fries. Simply one of the greatest food items I have eaten in a long time. We also got a combo over rice which consisted of beef and chicken. Both proteins flavored just right, the star was the rice. Perfectly seasoned and I love how they include a salad with the rice. Also one of the better over rice entrees I have had in a very long time. Gyro King has competition now. Also they grill their chicken wings over charcoal and it's just immaculate. Amazing job. We will certainly be back. read more

Good! Not to die for but I'm sure at the end of the night I'd give this 5 stars. I got the lamb shish taco and it was very flavorful! My boyfriend got the lamb gyro. It isn't huge so if you're starving or sharing then get two with a side of fries or something a lil extra. Service is good but slow. Your options to pay are cashapp or zelle. Zelle took awhile to go through so we were standing in the beating sun for awhile waiting for them to receive it. There's not a order/wait mechanism like buzzers or texts so you kinda just have to wait in the sun so that takes away a bit from the experience. Overall, I'll probably try again but I'll also probably try the trucks further down on Westheimer first. read more
