I have to say I have been on charters in Northern Michigan, but, I have never been treated as well as I was on this charter. I contacted Al just by chance on a recent trip to Alaska. We were just randomly calling charters on the Kenai. He was on vacation down in Florida and answered his phone just like any other guy and was real accommodating. We had 6 people 4 adults and two kids. He booked our trip for the week before they opened and came up a week early for us. He was awesome. The guy who owned the property (Art) came home from Mexico came back a week early just to open the property up for us and to park our rented R.V. for two days. They welcomed us like we were friends forever. Our trip was booked for a Wednesday and he told us to call him a couple of days before we arrived which we did. We called him on Monday and Caprain Al asked if we could come a day earlier, which we obliged, because the weather was going to be bad on Wednesday. Son on Tuesday Captain Al took us out and got us a king in the morning. The kings were slow in the morning. Captain Al said well time for halibut. We packed up and went to the halibut grounds. Nothing was caught 10 after minutes and said lets go were moving. We packed up again and took us to some other grounds. We hammered them. the boys had a ball. They are 13 and12 years old. WE got our limit. NO ONE WAS CATCHING ANYTHING. Maybe two or three. We got 12. We also caught some cod and a sand shark. We then went back for king and missed four because we weren't paying attention (our fault wrong pole in the hand). The boys were getting bored so Captain Al kept them entertained by giving them riddles which they loved. I am sorry this is so long but I will never go back to Alaska without going to see Captain Al or his crew again. They took such good care of us I consider him and his crew friends for life. So to Captain Al, Art, Eric, we loved every second we were there especially metting Art when we pulled in. Give lots of love to Kenya for us.
Thanks for some life long memories.
We will never forget what you did for us.
There is no other place I would send anybody for fishing.
