My experience with Gotcha Legal Services was nothing short of outrageous. I was blindsided by a nearly $1,900 charge for "services" I never approved, never agreed to, and explicitly did not authorize. Instead of following the clear instructions I provided for a difficult serve, they went off on their own and ran up four hours of "stakeout" time--completely ignoring my direction. Then came the real insult: when I immediately raised concerns and stopped the process, I was told "no refunds." So let's be clear--they ignored instructions, performed unauthorized work, charged an absurd amount, and then hid behind a no-refund policy. That's not just bad business--that's predatory. This wasn't happening in a vacuum. I'm already dealing with the loss of my mother and serious financial strain tied to an ongoing lawsuit. I hired them in good faith to help serve someone actively evading, not to create another financial and emotional burden. Instead, they made an already difficult situation significantly worse. After the fact, I did what I should have done earlier--dug deeper into reviews--and found warnings from others and even calling out Gotcha by name as SHADY. That alone says a lot. I have since disputed the charge with my credit card company. Do yourself a favor: STAY FAR AWAY from this company.
