My experience with Gotcha Legal Services was nothing short of outrageous. I was blindsided by a nearly $1,900 charge for "services" I never approved, never agreed to, and explicitly did not authorize. Instead of following the clear instructions I provided for a difficult serve, they went off on their own and ran up four hours of "stakeout" time--completely ignoring my direction. Then came the real insult: when I immediately raised concerns and stopped the process, I was told "no refunds." So let's be clear--they ignored instructions, performed unauthorized work, charged an absurd amount, and then hid behind a no-refund policy. That's not just bad business--that's predatory. This wasn't happening in a vacuum. I'm already dealing with the loss of my mother and serious financial strain tied to an ongoing lawsuit. I hired them in good faith to help serve someone actively evading, not to create another financial and emotional burden. Instead, they made an already difficult situation significantly worse. After the fact, I did what I should have done earlier--dug deeper into reviews--and found warnings from others and even calling out Gotcha by name as SHADY. That alone says a lot. I have since disputed the charge with my credit card company. Do yourself a favor: STAY FAR AWAY from this company. There are plenty of professional, ethical process servers out there--this is not one of them. read more

Kraig is the real deal. He knows all the rules of the road of process serving which can get complicated. I seriously doubt anyone knows more. After providing Kraig the information required, he was on it. I immediately felt at ease knowing this service will be handled and will happen correctly. Kraig called me the next morning letting me knew it was done. Just like that. What a relief. Thank you Kraig, it was worth every penny! read more

Kraig from "GOTCHA Legal Services was awesome. He delivered on his promise and the service he and his company offers down to the letter. When it comes to legal services like "proof of service" where things are just time-sensitive which can make or break a case, Kraig did the job perfectly. Kraig was fast, efficient, professional, and once again, trustworthy. Thank you Kraig for your services Best, Gabe read more

This is a real review. To the point, Kraig from Gotcha Legal Services took care of business efficiently and effectively. Moreover, Kraig identified a correction that needed to be made in my Proof of Service and made sure that all requirements were met for a proper and legal service. That correction made within minutes and I was able to file my Proof of Service subsequently. Finally, Kraig quoted me a fair fee for his service, that I felt was well worth his service, based on who the Defendants are in my litigation. I would use them again to professionally serve documents if the circumstances arose. R. Wright Jr. read more

I hired Kraig to serve papers for a Small Claims court hearing. It was a former tenant that I had to kick out due to her physically attacking me and not paying her rent. Kraig and his staff did a wonderful job finding her. I had been dealing with this since August '23 because she left a phony address. Kraig was very empathetic for what I had gone through. I hired Gotcha to serve a business that does not have an agent of service listed w/ the California Secretary of State. I would like to personally thank Kraig and his team for helping me serve the respondent. Kraig was the nicest, sweetest, and most patient guy. I had to get a dangerous man served with a restraining order and Kraig went out of his way to track this guy down even after the guy bailed out the back door of the house and tried to run. Kraig stuck around and made sure to get him. Within 2hrs max Kraig had the guy served and calmed down. He really knows how to negotiate cause this man is a professional criminal and Kraig was still able to get him to roll over and submit and be served. Kraig took the job seriously and personally and he fought for justice for me. Not many people put their hearts into their jobs. Thanks so much Kraig for the kick ass job!!! read more
