Unfortunately I have to agree with the other negative reviews that have been written. i too redeemed the Groupon and was horrified at how bad the service was. First it was a pain to find a date where they could come and pick up my dry cleaning. And then once they had it they did not drop it off the day they said they would. I had to call to figure out where it was and they told me they weren't sure but would check, that took another 2 days. Once I FINALLY did get my clothes back they arrived late and the clothes seemed as if they hadn't been cleaned at all. The only saving grace was that Groupon completely refunded my money so I didn't foot the bill for this horrible experiment. NOT recommended. read more

First, this review is for Got Laundry's pick-up and delivery service. I am not sure if they even still have a location on Michigan Avenue. Second, I've had good experiences with Got Laundry. I bought the Groupon back in March, and had absolutely no problems using it. I coordinated pick up and delivery with the driver (Dick, he's great), and it went smoothly. Dick picked up my laundry early in the morning before I left for work, and returned it a few days later, also early in the morning before work. My laundry was returned on time and in beautiful condition. Unlike other laundry services I've used in the past, Got Laundry returns your laundry pressed (yes, especially the sheets!) and sealed in plastic. That way it stays folded and nice until you're ready to put it away, rather than it sliding around in a laundry bag. Also, the laundry did a great job removing pet hair---not an easy task! I used Got Laundry for a second time this week, and had the same good experience. I use them mostly for sheets, comforters, towels, etc., but have sent clothes there, too, with good results. It's not cheap ($2 per pound), but well worth the cost, considering the good work, pick up and delivery. I will use Got Laundry again, and I recommend them. read more

This place is horrible. I bought a groupon from here, and I couldn't be more disappointed. The drivers and customer service reps are very rude and unwilling to work with your schedule. They want to drop off your clothes during the day whether you are available or not. I made an arrangement for a Saturday drop off, and the delivery driver did not show or even bother to call. I called him 45 minutes after he was supposed to arrive with my clothes, and he was in Indiana. It is impossible to get your clothes back from these people if you work for a living. I have used this service for years - really without issues - but then the man who had been our delivery man for many years retired. The new guy is unreliable and unresponsive. They lose clothes; they do not come when they are suppoed to cme and they never answer the phone. I intend to find another service and you shouldl, too. It is a shame to see the deterioration of a business which has gone through several difference name changes and I assume ownership changes. This group is incompetent. Too bad. read more

I dunno...I don't seem to have any problem at all with these people... course I'm not using a Groupon coupon. Seems like ALL the negative reviews I read about any business these days always seems to center around Groupon prob's. I like the service here, the pick up and delivery is always OK for me and they do a good job on my clothes. I used to drive from northwest chicago to morton grove and drop off my stuff, but they told me they do pick up's when I was complaining about the drive and wishing they were closer to me. So they pick up the bags I leave in my hallway and return the clothes a couple of days later. Couldn't be easier for me and the prices are fair... Rick L on montrose. read more

Terrible dry-cleaning service. My issue is not with delivery as much as it is with the quality of the work. I was off work last week so delivery and pick up were fine. However, when I got back my clothes today, 1/3 of my clothes were still dirty. I has asked the driver whether or not they spot check for stains which he assured me they did. Unfortunately, the five items that were actually visibly dirty still had the marks on the front of them (these were not hard to find) when they were given back to me. I will have to take these items to a local dry-cleaner this afternoon. So disappointing. Do not use this company. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased the Groupon. I used my groupon about 2 months ago and have been meaning to write a review - I get mad every time I wear something that they cleaned. 1) Favorite sweater now has a hole in the front of it 2) Favorite cardigan is now about 3 inches shorter than it used to be and covered in pills and red fuzzies (ironic since there is no red in the entire cardigan) 3) In general clothing did not come back all that well cleaned. Beyond that, the service was terrible. After my clothes were picked up, they called and said I needed to give them a credit card to cover the excess value (which was fair - I gave them a lot of clothes). However, I called 3x and every time the person answering the phone would say "sorry, I don't have a record of your order" In summary - disorganized, horrible quality, DO NOT USE. read more

I've used Laundry and Dry Cleaning pick up/delivery services often in the past, but thought I'd try a Groupon from Got Laundry Chicago. After 2 emails, a voice mail and finally contacting someone on Saturday, they stated the driver was in the area and "possibly" call me then (Sat). Unfortunately, no call back Saturday. Well, today Tuesday (after Labor Day Monday), I heard nothing, no call back. I called again and the guy had to take my information again (3rd time). Long-Short,,,, can't pick-up my laundry till Thursday! I kindly passed,,,stated the service isn't worth it. Heck,,,the only reason I wanted to use there service is to save me from doing it myself and not have to wait. read more

Wish I checked yelp prior to paying this company a large amount of money. They lost a lot of our clothes and the customer service is horrible. Called about them findings clothes or reimbursement, first they promosed called backs I didn't receive and now I'm getting no responses to multiple calls. Save yourself the headache. read more

I've been trying to use my groupon for about 10 days now. Everytime I called somebody said the lady responsible would call me back. She never did. Today I called and the person who answered said that "this Lady" said she doesn't want to deal with groupons anymore. Terrible customer service and terrible business. read more

I used them a while ago but decided to finally give them a review. This is not a good place to get laundry done. First, I sent them my dress shirts and almost every one of them came back with cracked buttons. Second, they charge by pound of clothing but then they told me they would have to charge me extra because there were "too many shirts" after they picked them up, cleaned them and brought them back. read more

I bought groupons for their services. The first order pick up, I must say my clothes were cleaned and pressed to my liking but they failed to deliver my quilt that was with my order and I did not receive it until a week later. The next pick up and delivery, they didn't deliver all the clothes back that they were suppose to and the ones they did deliver, all of they were messed up because they washed my load with something that was bleeding blue dye so all my gray and white striped items were now grey and light blue striped. As of today, they still have not delivered back all my clothes to me and I am in the process of reporting them to the BBB...So disappointed. read more

SINCERELY, I have had SOOOOO many issues with this company I do not wish to write about them all. I will tell you what happened TODAY. On Jan. 24th, 2012 I called and made arrangements for my items to be picked up today, Feb. 8th, 2012. I waited, and hadn't heard from them so I called at 12:00 p.m. It was apparent that they had no record of my pickup. Of course I was extremely upset. A lady called me back twice then said she would have someone to call me. The man who initiated the pickup called me back and said "well, who did you talk to, it certainly wasn't me." Then he tells me they no longer service my area. He asks if I have a Groupon. I said, WHY?" is that the reason you don't want to pick up my items? He said yes, well it's too expensive to service that area and that other customers were just calling Groupon for a refund. (WHAT the NERVE! As if that's o.k.!!) PLEASE TRUST me when I tell you there are sooooo many other issues with that company including rude people, losing items, no shows, rescheduling for the same pick up over and over, complaining to YOU, the customer that the GROUPON deal isn't working for them, etc. The first review MUST be the OWNER! TRUST US!!!!!!!!!!! This must be the very worst company on the face of this earth. Don't waste your time. (We've warned you) I wish somone would have warned ME! read more

Scam artistry at its finest! Received Groupon as a gift; went to redeem it and got a time and date of pickup. I have a life, you know? I set my sched around the pickup, and wham! No call, no show. Fine. I sent a polite email asking what happened, and I received an email back saying she had sent me that email as a mistake, that their trucks weren't even in my neighborhood on that day. O....kaaayyy. Fine, no prob. We re-set a time and date, and guess what? NO call, NO show. I sent a LESS polite email and got back no response...even after a week. I don't care if they could get a river of ink stains out of a feather, I would never ever use these jerks again. I suggest you avoid them as well...total lack of respect for their customers.
