The play structure has slides and tunnels and different musical items you can be creative like the drums, rain stick and even a flip the musical note and make a sound very neat. There are many open areas that you have to be careful if you have little ones but still fun. There is a huge area if you wanted to bring scooters or kids cars that they can ride around in a big circle. Love that they have bathrooms and a changing table they are a bit on the smelly side but in an emergency they are good. Very well kept and clean. Love that's it's gated that way littles don't go running off but over all this park is great for all age groups can't wait to be back.

Felix's parents claimed a prime seating area right outside the playground, where we could eat and socialize while keeping an eye on our various kids. The set-up felt very safe and easy. I admit to losing track of my five-year-old for long stretches at a time, and once finding him in a piece of playground equipment with a group of children he didn't know, giggling as two of their dads spun them around and around. My two-year-old spent a lot of time in the sand with several toddler friends, pouring sand into a play table and also all up in their clothes. We brought our elderly basset hound Duke in a mobility stroller, and he got lots of attention, too. It was a nice outing for our whole family. I also couldn't help but notice that the park was right next to the Santa Monica Airport and other airplane-themed entertainment. The swings are great as well and not broken usually they are broken or just not able to use them. Love that there are so many big tree's and makes it nice for having lunch or even small gatherings and so fourth. We came here for a Music class and made it so enjoyable for our blanket and under a tree. We later played and loved that they have sand throughout the whole play area (bring your sand toys). All the structures are well taken care of and clean appreciate that. There are basketball courts and a pool as well it was empty but seems for summer they open for the public and residents. Over all we'd come back for sure it's 10 min from our home and we enjoyed coming here & glad the bathroom are close by cause when you have kiddos you need them close by. It was founded by Abbot Kinney as a destination seaside resort in the early 19th century and the street named after him used to be a great place to go shopping: -If you start at the south end near the pier you can see a neighborhood with actual canals and bridges that is fun to walk through. -Muscle beach is more like an outdoor gym now and not as grimy and primitive as it used to be. -Skateboarding bowl is famous and even on a weekday we same many skateboarders there, one of them was skateboarding barefoot! -The basketball courts are also quite famous and sometimes you'll see some famous streetballers playing here. -There is a strong smell of weed everywhere and a couple headshops. The most annoying people are the ones trying to hustle CDs or get you to go to their weed shop.

I was always mistaken thinking I've been here before, but that was actually Santa Monica. Goes to show how little I go out and touch beach sand if that makes any sense. The board walk is along side the beach and you can either pay for parking at any of the lots and help support the maintenance of the beach or you can do metered parking or free street parking, you just have to pay attention to the signs and be okay with walking. Lots of things to see and it's super bustling and lively on the board walk, especially on the weekends. They recommend people to walk their bikes here, so you can easily just walk it. Gift shops, novelty stores, cannabis and magic mushrooms stores, cafe's, quick service food restaurants, art displays, street performers and vendors, people walking their dogs, and much more. Be wary of the drop shipping resellers or the boot leg items, but there's lots of original artwork and crafts being vended by people. I hate all of the AI advertisements thought, none of it makes the food look good and makes my skin crawl so I'm wishing vendors would take note of this. Very innovative to see some of the designs of shirts, Snoop Dog's ice cream parlor (sadly not opened), and people selling shaved ice on the go and much more. Also keep your hands busy so people don't try to push something in your hands and make you purchase it. Tourist trap prices for certain things, but then there are people making an honest living selling ice cold water bottles for $1 which is pretty fair if you think about it. I don't think I'll go out of my way to be here, but interesting to be at at least once.

All treats are pre packed with easy to read ingredients, so very accessible for those kiddos with food allergies too. All the classics - big sticks, ice cream sandwiches, bomb pops, jaw breakers, snowcones, pickles, banana on a stick, cotton candy buckets, paletas, and more. It's also one of the few camps where you purchase by the day vs the week, so the flexibility is great. It's California. Going to beach camp is a rite of passage.
