Edward Vincent Jr. Park in Inglewood surprised me in the best way because the moment I walked in,…read morethe whole place felt bright, open, and full of life. I did not expect the park to have so many different areas that felt playful and relaxing at the same time, but as I explored more of it, I kept noticing how easy it was to enjoy myself without feeling rushed. The big grassy fields, the long walking paths, and the sunny open spaces all created this warm atmosphere that made the park feel welcoming from the very beginning. What really stood out to me was how many teenagers I saw there. Some were playing basketball, some were hanging out in groups, and others were taking pictures together around the park. Seeing that made the whole place feel even more lively, and it showed me right away that this is the kind of spot teenagers would genuinely love spending time in. As I kept walking around, I realized there was much more to enjoy than I expected. The playground areas looked colorful and fun, the sports courts were full of energy, and the shaded spots under the trees made it easy to take a break and just enjoy the moment. Even though it was my first time visiting Edward Vincent Jr. Park, I never doubted that the experience was going to turn out the way I hoped it would. There was something refreshing about being in a space where people of all ages were having a good time, but especially seeing so many teenagers laughing, talking, and taking photos together. It reminded me how important it is for teenagers to have places where they can feel creative, comfortable, and free to express themselves. I have lived for 24 years, but I am not physically or mentally 24 years old. In the summertime of 2024, I learned that I am still physically and mentally 18 years old, and I also learned that my prefrontal cortex is far more developed than the average 25 year old. That youthful mindset makes me appreciate places like this even more, because I can feel the same kind of excitement and creativity that teenagers feel when they are in a space that welcomes them. Edward Vincent Jr. Park is one of the most enjoyable and refreshing outdoor places I have been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there. It gives them a place to hang out, take pictures, play, talk, and enjoy being themselves in a lively and open environment that feels made for them.

With two jungle gym areas, a skate park, baseball field, basketball court, this is the place to play and bring your kids. Over the course of three hours there were food vendors and ice cream trucks that passed through. The park was peaceful with no problems and constant park security. I'll definitely return when I want a peaceful park play date. Only con: massive amounts of June bugs flying around, it freaked the kids out and hard to enjoy food in peace so wear bug spray.

Lots of space for dancing (even in the wrong direction sometimes!) and all were having a blast, hootin' and a hollerin' and seeing how low we could "drop it". LOL! My heart is willing, but my knees are saying a firm NO! Just $4, this was an activity worth pumping the heart and getting those feel good endorphins flowing. In other areas of this large space, the indoor basketball court had some pickup games going and in the parking lot, an organized group was doing a different style of dancing that also looked like a LOT of fun. Restrooms were clean, staff was at the front desk to answer questions and there's plenty of free parking. I'm def looking forward to my next class, even if my knees aren't. Cheers! "CC"

I love neighborhood parks, and to see them well kept is definitely a plus. I noticed a baseball diamond, a walking trail, some outdoor exercising equipment, there's also an area where you can let your dog off the leash to run around. Really nice, very clean, chill park. It definitely seems like a hidden gem, but a great place for kids and families to hang out on a nice day. Amongst the former, there's also a small skate park, tennis courts, basketball court, a playground and a preschool on the grounds. Granted, this may be a park in the middle of the hood, but I live in the 'hood' in New Orleans so i understand that everything is not always what you hear of it to be. What makes up the 'hood' is not the location or the buildings, yet, the people. Everyone out that day seemed to have the same agenda: enjoy the day. I didn't get any weary vibes at all. Oh and there's also a swing set for all you swingers out there ;)

I hate not being able to give this Park five stars and the reason why I can't give this part five…read morestars is because they say that no dogs are allowed on the way up but yet there's dog poop all over the walking bridge I really like this park because when I have broken my foot in order to exercise This was a great place. They have like a switchback OK so which means you're going higher and higher, but without stairs, right... and six years ago I had a knee surgery where I needed to still exercise, but I just couldn't lift my knee like that just walking was all I could do so I've been in a few predicaments where you know I appreciate having this switchback, I just don't appreciate the dog poop. If you are going to violate the rules and bring your dog which I love animals I love dogs you gotta clean up after your animal. It's not OK to just to leave dog poop on the trail. And also, why aren't my Park Rangers enforcing this rule anyhow, if you wanna take a nice walk, that's gonna give you a little workout without doing too much strain than this is the park for you! At the end of the day, this is a very pretty park where you can actually barbecue you do need to reserve the space. I don't know how much it cost, but I know you need to reserve the space and then you can have a party there there's a skate park attached. I mean it's a nice park just please people be respectful and I guess it's not the Park's fault per se... But if there are Park Rangers, why aren't they enforcing this rule? Also, they lease out some space to this company that does these really cool teambuilding, exercises and wall climbs and stuff. It's pretty cool. I wanted to do it but it was like $100 a person and I was like ouch! All in all, there is a beautiful view when you do reach the top and I don't mean the top on the bottom I mean all the way up to the top has the picture show you can see all the way to the beach on a clear day. It's gorgeous.

I would not call it a "hidden gem" because that phrase is overused, but it really does feel like having your own private park. When you are there, it almost feels like it is part of an HOA, with how quiet and well kept it is. There is security nearby, which adds to the sense of safety. It would be a great place for toddlers and younger kids. There is space for them to move around and play without feeling like you are in a crowded public park. They have a basketball court where you can play or shoot around, and there are picnic tables where you can sit, eat, or just hang out. I came here just looking for a place to sit down and relax for a little while. It turned out to be a perfect spot for that. You could come here to think, read, get a little workout in, or simply catch your breath in the middle of the day. The park is very clean, very nice, and has a calm, peaceful feel to it. For me, it is an easy 5 stars.

Date: May 28, 2024…read more I'm so glad I stumbled on this gem of a park!! It's so pretty and seems newly renovated. It's very clean and the kids love it! There's two playgrounds and some little things in between. My toddler loves climbing the stairs to get through the tunnel and slide down the big tube slide! I love that it's fully covered so my younger one isn't afraid of going down it too because he can't slip off! The restrooms are also very clean and plentiful. They sit right next to the exercise machines. They also have a parking lot next to the tennis courts but plenty of parking all around on the streets as well! I've seen the wading pool but never got to check it out when it's open but it's pretty big! Hope we get to check it out next year but it's always so much cooler in the South Bay. They have swings and ones where an adult can sit on the end while the child sits in front of them and my babies love it!! So much easier and more fun than just pushing them behind. And this way you can see their full reactions as they swing! Woowoo!! As you can tell, I'm a big fan of this park! Always a hit with the boys and love that it's so fresh and clean! Oh also plenty of benches around! And the ice cream truck is always there!
