This place is a cheese lovers wonderland. Cheese prices are low, they have tons of variety, they've got lots of different milks, and all sorts of other things. I picked up a couple different blocks of cheese, but my favorite thing so far has been the spicy cream cheese dip I got. It's actually spicy and is great on crackers. They didn't have any samples out when I was there, which was sad as I had read that there would be and I wanted to try everything. The only other downside is that I don't know where I can buy there stuff outside of Logan. I will definitely be stopping by here next time I'm in town. read more

However, I can appreciate when someone does something well. Gossner's sells more than just cheese, too. They are also known for their flavored boxed milk. Flavors include such delights as chocolare, strawberry, cookies & cream and root beer. The factory store is set up much like any other grocery store-shopping carts, dairy items in refrigerators and cases stacked in the middle with labels and prices marked on them. My childhood friend brought me to Gossner Foods for the first time. It's an absolute treasure trove of Dairy delights, local snacks, and assorted local foods. Upon passing through the sliding doors there is an ice cream station with various flavors made from local dairy. One of the local favorites is their blackberry ice cream. There is a milk/cream area. A wall designated for local snacks and assorted local foods. The back wall is designated for the expansive cheese section! Butter, cream cheese, eggs etc...It was a little crowded when we arrived in the afternoon. I didn't get to take as many pics of that section, but it's a dairy wonderland in there. When you're ready to check out, they ring you up at the middle counter section near the ice cream. I absolutely loved Gossner Foods. About an hour and a half from the Salt Lake Valley, I'd highly recommend a visit. And bring a cooler because you won't be able to resist buying items to take back home with you. read more

This is a little store with no frills in sight, but it packs a punch with quality and variety. They tout that they are the little Switzerland of the Rockies. We've visited several times over the years and tend to purchase our favorites like squeaky cheese as well as fresh-made swiss, blue cheese, and cheddar options. I recently tried their famous single-serving milk in a box. I tried the strawberry flavor which was yummy, and I don't typically drink a lot of milk. They also offer some gift times, as well as candy, honey, jam, syrup, and the like. It's not all about the dairy here at Gossner's. I think they will be around as long as the family wishes to keep the business going. My friends gifted me with cheese curds from Gossner's a while back. I adore cheese curds, but had forgotten the simple joy of curds + crackers. When I ran out, I knew I had to get my hands on some more! Gossner's is a glorious cheese wonderland. But that's not all! There is ice cream, soft drinks, and many local goodies like Bluebird chocolates, popcorn, salsa, jam, honey, nuts, candy, fresh bread and cinnamon rolls. You could make yourself quite the picnic feast here! And for you dedicated Gossner fanatics, they even have merch like tees, shirts, and coolers. Now, you might be a bit overwhelmed by all the goodies here, so let me step in as your dairy guide with some must-have suggestions: the smoked muenster is so creamy without overwhelming smoke flavor. They carry local micro creamery Rock Hill's specialty cheeses, and while the price is high compared to Gossner's standard fare, absolutely worth the premium. Back to the curds, I will emphatically recommend any of them, with my favorites being jerky (salty peppery) and salsa. Be sure to plan your visit on a Friday or Saturday as those are the days curds are available. They also don't bring them out until a little later in the morning (around 10:00am), but if you are lucky, you will be able to pick up a still warm bag. Swoon! Lastly, shelf stable milk and cream are surprisingly handy to have around the house! Prices are crazy cheap for near everything. I absolutely love Gossner's! There is a special place in my heart for Cache Valley. My mom grew up there, and Gossner's is a stop we make almost every time we come to visit. The shop is cute and feels very home town and I love it. There are several coolers with milk of different varieties. They have 1%, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and even root beer milk! I love the root beer milk, we usually end up getting a whole case of it. It's the perfect sweet treat, but also makes me feel like it's semi-healthy because it's milk! Another highlight is the ice cream, I got two scoops of a raspberry cheesecake flavor in a cup and it was so wonderful! Very creamy and tasted fresh! There are little gift basket items everywhere, bread spreads, yogurt, and cheesecake! How could I forget the cheese?! They have regular cheeses and cheeses pre-cut in cubes for a party or some sort of entertaining. My favorite are the cheese curds, also referred to as squeaky cheese. At room temperature, this cheese makes squeaky noises as you eat it. It was super fun as a kid and now I just love the taste. It's kind of fun that all these items are made so close to the factory which is right next to the shop. At some point they did tours, but I'm not sure about how things are currently! What's a trip to or through Logan without stopping at Gossners? It's always a stop for us when we are in town. We stocked up on a few cases of some chocolate and strawberry milk. If you aren't familiar with gossners milk - it is real milk but processed in a way that makes it shelf stable. Sadly due to production and supplies - they were out of banana milk, cookies and cream milk and the shelf stable sipping cream. We love to have the milk on hand for our food storage - great for snack, traveling, camping or anytime. They sell it in individual sizes/cartons or quarts. We also got some of the freshest squeaky cheese (yes it's really squeaks) and some other fresh cheese. They have lots of cheese varieties including some you don't find in a typical grocery store (ex. I have, and it's worth every penny. Get there early if you don't want to miss out on the smoked varieties. They go fast! Aside from that Gossner carries all manner of dairy related joy. I thought that Gossners was just a cheese factory?? But wait, theres more! They also have milk! The store front is full of yummy goods that you cant pass up. They have their own milk flavors: Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, rootbeer, mango and more! Their cheese is also great! Lots of different options and has the perfect amount of squeak :) There is a lot of history behind the company--you should ask someone to tell you! I didnt know that so many other companies have Gossners produce their milk--Hershey, Dairy Pure, Trader Joes whipping cream, and much more! I was literally mind blown when I found out that little Logan, UT was capable of shipping all over the world! :) Ive also heard the Eggnog is good--although seasonal. Employee has terrible attitude towards customers. I came in here Saturday afternoon from a day trip to Idaho. This place is so small and hectic you hardly know what's going on around you. Well apparently everyone is supposed to know/see this employee bringing a pallet in. Nothing was announced about her coming through with the machine. Said employee did not use ANY manners, quite rudely said WATCH YOUR KIDS PEOPLE. Then apparently I was in her way while checking out and was told to move over so she can get through. It never fails that a trip to Logan always includes a stop at Gossner's. Love the cheese factory. You get to sample a variety of different things - curd, some of their cheese spreads, etc. They offer a variety of fresh curd - regular, smoked, jerky, and ranch. Our family loves the different milks. While obviously it's best to serve them cold, they don't have to be stored in the fridge and have a long shelf life. So great for food storage. (You know, assuming you haven't drank them all by then....) our favorites include chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, root beer float. The banana and orange and others are fun to try to. Also love that they have bricks of cheese and then also cheese ends that are sold at a discounted price. The smoked provolone and smoked Meunster are delicious. Just try it. You can also get ice cream or other homemade things - jams, chocolates, etc. You won't go wrong with a stop here! read more

Cheese. mmmm. Gossner's is awesome! ...though personally I wouldn't refer to it as a cheese factory. "Factory" conjures up images of manufactured stuff - like american cheese or cheese wiz. Gossner's is where REAL cheese is BORN. And this cheese is born of goodly parents...happy cows. There's no other logical explanation. I come here most often for the cheese curds, so I can scurry home and make poutine. The key to great poutine is fresh cheese curds, and Gossner's is the only place that delivers the goods, so to speak. I live in Layton, yet routinely drive an hour to Logan for a cheese run. All of their cheese is excellent, and very well-priced! Show up a little hungry, so you can sample some various cheese and crackers. read more

Good fresh cheese. We went later in the day so the sampling station was really low to empty on their offerings, but what was there was good. I was surprised to see so many different flavors of milk! From banana to root beer, there were many flavors to choose from. The best part is, it doesn't need to be refrigerated to keep! We brought so much milk home in our luggage it was crazy! They even had cartons of egg nog, so of course I had to get some! The one thing I was disappointed in was that they didn't offer samples of their ice cream. Not sure why, but I because of that, I didn't get any so I can't tell you if it's good or not. Their "economy" cheese is a good bargain, but the packagaing is not the easiest to work with. My sister said that when I visited her in Logan we HAD to go to Gossners and boy was she right. I wish I could've picked up the whole place and brought it home with me. I got some jerky curds, smoked curds, and root beer milk. All were OUTSTANDING! They have incredible prices on all of their products. I was unsure what the rootbeer milk would be like but it might have been my favorite product I bought. It tasted like the end of rootbeer float where the ice cream melts into the root beer. If you are anywhere if Cache Valley make a detour and visit this delicious dairy. The main draw is the cheese curd (which you shouldn't refrigerate.) We love the milk boxes, with flavors like root beer, mango, chocolate, banana, orange cream and strawberry. The cheese at the bottom of the refrigerated cases is remnant and even cheaper than the perfect blocks. The Muenster is our favorite and the provolone is great on pizza. It can be a bit overwhelming since they have a wide selection of products to "cheese" from so there is a tasting area to help you decide. At this area, you can try their various cheese spreads (ie. garden vegetable, jalapeño cheese, salsa cheese, garlic cheese, hot cheese, etc), block cheese (ie. mild cheddar, Swiss, Monterey Jack, etc) or their flavored milk (ie. root beer, milk chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, orange, cookies & cream, etc). They also have honey and honey butter which I absolutely love! AND their prices are reasonable!!! When checking out, you may want to purchase at least a single scoop of their ice cream. They have various flavors to choose from like caramel fudge, banana, strawberry banana, huckleberry, etc. You won't be disappointed with any of their flavors. The cheese is the best thing they have and it's very good. With many flavors of cheese curds, smoked is my favorite. The milk boxes are ok but quite convenient because they don't need to be refrigerated until opening. I also tried the Rocky Road and Cookies & Cream ice cream; unfortunately it was the worst ice cream I remember tasting. It wasn't so bad I couldn't eat it but I didn't finish the small cup. Need cheese? Come here. Want a weekend drive just for cheese? This is the place. I like driving up here from Centerville just for a $3 bag of curds. They have flavored curds too. Ranch, jerky, garlic, smoked and regular. There's probably even more flavors that are new that I'm not aware. Not too long ago you had to wake up super early and get there before all the good flavors were gone. Now they've been able to keep up with the demand quite a bit better it seems. We can take our time and get up there late in the afternoon and still get jerky curds. There's not much to say. It's just cheese. But it's awesome they're here for everyone to enjoy. They have ice cream that I see everyone walk out with. I have yet to try any, but it looks tasty! read more

I love this place! It's got a fun look to it outside and when you're inside there's a cheese-sampling bar! Who wouldn't love that?!?
