Classroom To Go has been godsend for my family. My son has been going to Classroom To Go ever…read moresince Aug 2020 and he absolutely loves it. It's something he looks forward to every week. We know Miss Jeri from another preschool and when the pandemic hit, she pivoted and created this all-inclusive mobile learning classroom. Miss Jeri is great! There is clear growth in my son's development and he is really thriving in this environment academically and socially.

So thankful for The Classroom To Go! It's not only the cutest classroom in town, it's also the only…read moremobile (that i personally know of) preschool that brings the learning to you. The bus is parked near one of the parent's homes, so your child can be near and you don't have to worry about traffic with child drop off/pick up. The pricing is VERY reasonable. It's comparable to the previous preschool we were at, but now my son gets even more focused attention since it's with a smaller group of kids (up to 5 kids in one session). It's almost like private tutoring without the high price tag. In addition to the ridiculously cute exterior of the bus (my son gets so excited to spot around town "that's my school bus!") the inside was completely redone to not only be a fully functional classroom, but it's also decked out with high quality and durable play sets and learning tools. Ms. Jeri has an extensive background in childcare and had previously worked at Montessori, so her teaching style is a mix of fun, creative, yet effective techniques that my son really enjoys. Because it's a more intimate classroom setting, Ms. Jeri is also able to send photos and updates of how they're doing, so it's easy for me to see the progress. I'll admit, I was a bit hesitant to enroll my son in this unconventional form of preschool, but I'm so glad that I did because it's been amazing to continue my son's education without the stress and anxiety of a large school setting during the pandemic. Ms. Jeri is extremely kind and will definitely take the time to help you decide whether or not The Classroom To Go can work for you and your children as well. You can find her on Instagram @TheClassroomToGo if you have any questions. Overall, I highly recommend The Classroom To Go if you live in the SCV area!

I always like to finish the year with a Yelp review of a place that my entire family enjoyed! I…read morehave been to the Gibbon Conservation Center three times, but it was a first for a couple of people in my family! We were celebrating my great niece's birthday, and she's a big animal lover, like I am, so I had to figure out something that she had never experienced before. She just loved GCC! We've always had awesome tour guides, that are so informative and helpful answering questions! The gibbon's are such characters, and each are unique in their own way! We love it when the gibbon's break out in song! I can't imagine hearing this out in a jungle, if you don't know what is making the noise! It was so awesome to see a mama with her baby on our last visit! We've been there in February, and it can be a bit chilly for the 10 AM public tour, and this last time it was August and we were blessed with cooler weather, so it was perfect! Bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and I recommend a hat. I also recommend clothes shoes as you are walking in dirt, and as a safety precaution for diseases, you do have to dip the soles of your shoes in a bleach solution before entering. For our August tour, we were the only people, so it was almost like a private tour, which was amazing! The tour is about an hour, but we were there for an hour and a half last time! You need to make a reservation, and the tours are done on Saturdays and Sundays. The public tour is $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and $10 for children 3-12. Don't forget to tip your tour guide! They always put it right in the donation box! ;) They also have a little gift shop, and I get so many compliments on my gibbon earrings! This is such a wonderful experience for anyone, and you go away with a smile and a wealth of information regarding gibbon's!

The sanctuary's doing a lot of good for the gibbons, breeding one species that has less than 1000 left in the wild, another with less than 4400. We donated our old car to this sanctuary to be auctioned off to help support them. Deforestation in Indonesia for palm oil plantations is destroying 300 football fields of rainforest every hour and threatening endangered species like Orangutans, Sumatran tigers, Asian elephants, sun bears, and gibbons, as well as significantly contributing to global warming. Indonesia's home to 15% of all known species of plants, mammals, and birds, with Indonesia's peat lands storing 35 billion tons of carbon. According to Indonesian government figures, around 24 million hectares of rainforest in Indonesia were destroyed from 1990-2015, an area the size of the U.K. This has caused Indonesia to become one of the world's largest carbon emitters along with the U.S. and China. Harvard and Columbia University researchers estimate the July, 2015 Indonesian forest and peatland fires caused by plantation development may have caused 100,000 premature deaths and the World Bank calculated the cost of the disaster at US$16bn.

I've had experiences with this tutoring center since its inception nearly eight years ago, and…read morecompletely believe in its program. For those of you looking for a place that will help your kids out with school, this is one of the best and most unique places out there. Unlike Kumon and Sylvan, Homework Bound focuses on the homework the children bring home rather than bombarding them with additional work and exercises. The teachers help the students understand their homework first and reach the root of the problem that way. Thus, those who need some extra focus can get that and those who need additional guidance can receive that as well. The program focuses on organization and time-keeping skills that will help the children with their homework and can also be applied elsewhere even after they leave the center. The teachers are great, caring, funny, and also focusead. They are chosen very carefully and put a lot of heart into what they are doing. Mr. Vesagas, the director, is also a very caring man who devotes so much of his time to his program and the children. He is extremely passionate about helping each child individually and always makes sure that they stay on track in terms of finishing their work. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some extra tutoring for your child. While this isn't a "day-care," it is a great alternative to it. Bring your child home in the evening with their homework finished and enjoy some very much needed family time. :)

He's now 4 and currently in TK, but he still talks about Ms. Shirley, his old teachers and all his old classmates with so much love and excitement. That alone says everything about the kind of impact this place has on children. Our 2yo daughter now happily attends, and we continue to feel grateful for the warm, nurturing environment Magic Carousel provides. The teachers are truly amazing. They are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child. Both of our kids have come home excited, happy, and full of stories about their day. Magic Carousel isn't just a school, it's a community that makes children feel safe, supported, and loved. We can't thank them enough for the foundation they've given our little ones. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a dedicated, loving and thoughtful Montessori program!

During this time, he has not only learned letters, numbers, and U.S. states, along with early academic skills, but more importantly, he has grown in confidence, understanding, and curiosity. Right from the start, we knew our child was in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment. Communication with parents was always clear and thoughtful--special thanks to the daycare's director, Shirley Johnson. We truly appreciated being kept in the loop about our child's progress and milestones, along with the lovely photos shared during the special summer school month. There was such a variety of thoughtful events that made his time there memorable. Now, as he transitions to elementary school, we leave with full hearts, happy memories, and the confidence that our child is more than ready for this next chapter. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers and staff. You have made a lasting difference in our child's life, and we are sincerely grateful.
