My yelp review must have gotten David's attention, because for the first time in 6 months, he…read morecalled me. In fact, he called me 3 times in a span of about 45 minutes. The calls were chaotic, and at times, bizarre. I'm more convinced than ever that David is an emotionally unstable person that should not be near your kids (his ratemyprofessors.com reviews back me up on this). David would call and when he didn't get what he wanted from me (to bring my Yelp review down), he would yell and swear, then hang up, only to call me back in 5 minutes. I'll try to organize our conversation, if you can call it that. David initially called to say that he doesn't care about my Yelp reviews, saying GPA has been around for a long time and that he has a thriving business. David later said he can't pay me back because he operates his business at a loss, and that he does it for the kids. What is it David? Do you have a thriving business, or a money-losing business, or do you just say whatever is convenient for you at that time? Despite saying he doesn't care about my Yelp review, he quickly changed his tone of voice and said that if I bring my Yelp review down, that he would give us our refund. David has yet to follow through with his words, so it's understandable that we don't believe anything he says. Hence, I told him that I am going to keep my Yelp review posted, AND that he will give us a refund. David did not like that, and started yelling and swearing, and eventually hung up. David kept on alluding to the contract that we signed that states refunds are not allowed, and that he is "protected". First of all, businesses that are confident in their services generally offer a 100% money back guarantee. So the "clearly stated no refund" statement in the contract should be a red flag. I responded by saying that the contract also states that certain services will be provided by GPA, and that those services were never received by us. David then suggested that I should talk to his lawyers. I said I would be more than happy to talk to them. David responded by asking why he would let me talk to his lawyers - so I said it was literally your suggestion. I told David that the contract does not protect him. David did not like that, and started yelling and swearing, and eventually hung up. What I found most bizarre was when David kept on trying to tell me about all the good work he's done. I told him that I didn't care about other students, that I just wanted our refund. But David kept on insisting, keeping me on the phone to give examples of student achievements. It was as if he was trying to get my approval that he's a good instructor. He would yell and swear at me one second, and then completely change his tone of voice to convince me to say something nice about him. It was bizarre behavior. I told David that I honestly don't believe anything he says, including the stories about his students. David did not like that, and started yelling and swearing, and eventually hung up. David is a liar at best, and an emotionally unstable man, which is scary given he works with young adults. There are great college consultants you can find for $4,500. Don't waste your money, and your child's future, on David Najar.
