She told me that she would not be providing services in-person unless her supervisor told her she had to. I called the supervisor and haven't been called back. I'm not clear why the employee of the company feels they are in a position to changes services with a minor and not first consult with the person that paid for the service and signed the contract. Completely outrageous! She tried to tell me she agreed he needed in-person tutoring but felt this was a good way to build rapport. This is completely maddening. Especially when I can't get a timely call back from said "supervisor" on the issue.

My daughter started going to Kumon Valencia when she was 3 years old at Me. Rafael's first location…read morenear the mall. The staff were so patient. She used to be so small that she could just run through the classroom under the tables without having to duck during fist couple of sessions. They were able to instill great work habits and work skills in her. It was hard at times to make her do homework, but going to the center consistently and communicating with Mr. Rafael and the staff has encouraged her to keep working. We moved to Kumon CC with Ms. D when we moved to a new place, but she has brought the established work skills and study habits with her. She delivered her speech at her sixth grade graduation recently and graduated with honors. She is now working on level L (logarithmic functions and on) and she is very motivated in finishing the program. I thank both Kumon centers for giving her the tools to succeed in school and be very goal oriented. She wants to be a neurosurgeon or a nurse when she grows up. She now volunteers at Ms. Bea's center and loves it. She grades worksheets and loves shadowing assistants at the early learners' tables. I can always text them for a quick and easy communication rather than calling and playing phone tag. After every session I get an e-mail with notes from her instructor sharing what they covered in the lesson and how it went with a list of things she did well and things she can continue to practice. Also, the sessions are easy to use and set up, it's just a link to click in an e-mail instead of downloading or installing Zoom or any other platform on the device. If I want them to cover any specific homework assignment, workbook, skill or even state testing practice they incorporate that into the session for us. I would highly recommend them!
