If they decide they dont like the way you look, no matter how nice you are upon entering the establishment, they lie, even in front of customers they are currently servicing, and say they can't help you and they are busy or they are getting ready to close! Got my eyebrow and lip waxed and when I was finished the lady said it looked like I had already did something to my eyebrows before which I hadn't! And I heard her say "oops" while doing my eyebrows! They don't take card which was weird to me. Other than that quality was good and you can barely tell that she made a mistake on my eyebrows just don't like that she blamed it on me! read more

She agreed, but still used the black dye and now my face is red, swollen, and in pain from an allergic reaction to the black dye I asked her not to use. I called around 3:30pm to see if they could fit my husband and i in. They told us to arrive at 4:30pm! So we go there they had us sit in two pedicure chairs. No one came over to fill our like tub things until like 5:00-5:15pm. So we sat there with no water in our chairs for like 40 minutes! Then they finally started on our pedicures. We both got the luxury pedicure. My husband received an amazing massage on his feet and i only got the lotion rubbed in. My feet normally don't hurt after a pedicure and they are killing me. So they finally started on my gel manicure around 6:00pm. Took them until 6:45pm. And during the manicure the lady said to me that she didn't like the color. yes we spent over two hours at the nail salon for something that should have only taken 1-1 and a half hours. read more

Avoid, avoid, avoid! First of all, this place doesn't even except cards, so you have to go through the inconvenience of making sure you have enough cash on you. My husband and I each asked for a luxury pedicure, which included a massage. The woman got confused and started to give us the wrong pedicure and then said it was our fault that we had changed our mind. My husband did get his massage, but I didn't get mine. My husband also got his foot cut up pretty bad from the scraper. We will never go to this place again. read more

Dee took great care of us this Sunday. My girlfriend and I wanted to try a new place and we were happy to find out it was more reasonably priced and quicker service than our usual place. They were so quick we had time to get our brows done as well. Also, when we arrived, dee was sweeping the entrance and making it clean in there which is a big plus for me. I wish I could give this place a half a star. I popped in on last Sun because no other nail shop is open on a Sun, all I wanted was a simple gel manicure. First they were very rude then the lady wanted me to move to another station, but she never says it, she just directs me with a pointed finger. During the mani they just put ur fingers in some Luke warm water....JUST PLAIN WATER. Then the went to tend to my cuticles, again NO product was used ie: cuticle cream, they don't even push back your cuticles. Now, this part was the real eye-opener. A lady and her little girl came in for pedicures, the lady was getting the Deluxe and her daughter was getting a regular pedi. The mother had a liner put in her pedi bowl, but the daughter did Not. The Mom asked about a liner for her daughter, she was told that they don't give liners with just the basic, but the woman told her "don't worry, we clean the bowls very well. Here's my question, if the bowels are cleaned sooooo well, why do u get a liner ONLY when u pay more. I have said it before...THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF...... JUST DON'T GO !!!!!!!!!! Please read more

I use to think this was a great nail salon...but this salon have lost some very experienced nail tech. Now when you go to the salon...due to having one experienced tech ...you are rushed thru. The tech will start on another person and forgets about you leaving your job unfinished. I try to tip every time I go because I been going there for years. But now..work is getting unsatisfactory and I am thinking about keeping my coins and going elsewhere. It not worth the drive for me anymore. read more

Did an excellent job on my acrylic nails which lasted a long time. They are reasonably priced. Love their soft cloths for drying hands.

I find Gorgeous Nails "owner" to be very rude along with the staff. They overcharge customers...I went in for eyebrow waxing & owner proceeded to do my chin & upper lip which I DO NOT need. I went to pay & she informed me it was $25 !! The last time I had pedicure, there was no plastic liner placed in the tub & when I asked why, I was told there was a $5.00 extra charge for the plastic liner. I was appalled. I paid the $5.00 for the plastic baggie but decided I would never return to this salon. read more

After several visits to Gorgeous nails, hoping there would be some consistency, the need for a comment has arrived. Rarely, with a deluxe pedicure is there a decent massage and little personal communication once sitting in the chair. Many times, have to wait unnessesarily in chair to be served. It is unfortunate that there are few options on Eastside of town. My hope is that there will be another nail salon with a warmer climate coming to the Eastside of Spartanburg. read more

First visit to have nails done, waited almost an hour for a fill-in with gel polish. First chair rushing to get my nails done because they were busy, did NOT let me nails dry properly under the light therefore they were all messed up. Went back 2 days later and told them what happened. She said the lady that did my nails was on vacation. I said well, they just need to be repainted. She said, all of them? I said yes, the ones that aren't smeared are dull and have no shine. She tells me the wait is 45 minutes. No, honey I will not wait another hour so you can fix what the owner messed up. Very expensive and not what you pay for. Wound up spending $80 on a manicure and pedicure. The gel acrylic had only lasted a week and I'm having to get another fill in. Also the pedicure was very rushed and didn't even really get to soak my feet no sugar scrub or lotion on the legs and she didn't even remove the calluses off my feet. I would not recommend this nail place AT ALL. $35 for a Gel Manicure that wasn't even that great.. Way over priced for a below average manicure. I wouldn't have minded paying that much for a manicure if the service and job was above par, but this was not the case: the manicurist was on the phone the whole time, and she didn't do a great job on my nails. I've been going to Gorgeous Nails since I was about 17/18 & in the beginning this place's work was AMAZING! The nails would last for weeks and weeks at a time, which was awesome because I work so much and could not always make it back in within 2/3 weeks. Unfortunately, the longer I continue to go to Gorgeous Nails, the worse the service becomes. The nails barely last a week now.. I had acrylic nails done on a Saturday & they did not make it to Tuesday/Wednesday. I've been here three times and have decided I will never return. The first time was ok..I liked the chairs so much and the place was clean so I decided to return. However, the second time the lady clearly tried to rip me off. She said I got the sea salt pedi so it would cost me $30. A regular pedi was listed at $23 on the board and the sea salt was listed as $28. I told the lady I did not ask for the salt, but she insisted I pay $30. I sucked it up, paid and thought I would not go back. Today, there was a wait at miss nail, which is clearly fair with their pricing, so I went back to gorgeous nail. I thought maybe it was just the last lady being a cheat with her pricing. But it happened again! I got a pedi, which was done in about 10 min and they tried to charge me $30 saying I hot the deluxe. I made sure this time to point out I only asked for a regular pedi and was not going to pay 30 since the board clearly says $23. The crazy thing is..even if I did get their sea salt deluxe pedi, the board says that is only $28. These ladies are trying to take advantage. It is sad because it could be a great place. read more
