I purchased an $850 Lauren Ashtyn Collection Giselle Light Topper and was really impressed with the quality of the hair, but completely unimpressed with the color. The base color is just all wrong, and the overall look is much darker and streakier than in this picture. For future buyers of Lauren Ashtyn products, I would recommend buying a solid color topper a few shades lighter than you want it, then having your own hair stylist do any lowlights or balayage so that the color is right for you. You can go darker but not lighter, and there is no way to change the disappointing dark brown of this piece. I am so disappointed in the color that I have decided to try and sell it rather than have my stylist do anything with it. The return policy on these products is extremely unfriendly. I would also suggest to buyers that the millisecond you open the box, if you are the least dissatisfied, call and arrange a return immediately. I thought it the color might grow on me, but I gave that strategy too much time (i.e. more than 24 hours), so I'm out of luck. I have lots of good stuff to say about these hair extensions, but have also learned an expensive lesson. I'm not saying don't buy these products. In fact, I would recommend them. I just hope that others considering these products will take the lessons I learned into consideration before you buy.

Before my visit, my dermatologist specifically warned against clip attachments due to the risk of hair damage and hair loss. I clearly explained to Shannon that I only wanted a topper with the band attachment option, yet I felt my concerns were dismissed. I also explained that I have naturally curly hair and brought a photo directly from the company's website showing a style very similar to my own texture. I was told the final result would not look like the photo, which immediately concerned me. I also stressed that I needed something manageable and low-maintenance because I am not skilled at styling hair myself. During the consultation, I believed I was purchasing a light-coverage topper, not a full-coverage piece. As the styling continued, I repeatedly mentioned that the topper felt too heavy and uncomfortable. The curls looked much longer and more artificial than expected, and the front hairline still appeared unnatural despite adjustments. It was also repeatedly emphasized how time-consuming the topper would be to wash, dry, and style, which conflicted with my original concerns. Payment was required before I saw the final result, and had I known how it would look and feel, I would not have proceeded. At the end of the appointment, I realized I had never been shown how to properly remove or reapply the topper, which made things difficult on my drive home. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company

I was courteous of the hairdresser's time by arriving 15 mins early. Upon arrival I stood in any empty waiting room until I heard a lady screaming at a child to come greet me. A 9 year old girl comes to the waiting area with an unenthusiastic look on her face and just stares at me. I then hear (who I presume is Brandy) yell at the girl to tell me she will be right with me. The girl looks at me and says "there you go". I sit down feeling unwelcomed and uncomfortable hoping that the appointment gets better because I wanted to give it a chance. While waiting I hear Brandy speaking to what I presume is another customer who she seems to be very comfortable with. This is the first time I've had color treatment on my hair so I was already on edge from being nervous and the uncomfortable first impression. As I listen to the chatter coming from the back room I hear the hairdresser saying things like "I dont know why it looks like that" and "stop touching it you are making it worse". At this point I am ready to leave but since I scheduled the appointment and if there is one thing I find disrespectful its wasting a person's time I decide I'll just suffer the consequences and follow through. It is now 11:29 and my appointment was at 11:30 when the customer Brandy was working on walks through the corridor visible from the waiting area with dye in her hair and a towel around her neck. Brandy is following her looks over and tells me she will be with me in a moment. She then tells the 9 year old to warm up the cheese dip. Maybe my expectations were too high but I felt like I was at someone's house and not a Professional salon. I have had my haircut and the salons I have been to all have a friendly front desk receptionist who welcomes you and this was no where near that. As a matter of fact I've been to Great clips locations that were more professional. The customer and Brandy walk back to the original room. Its is now 11:40 and from the lack of water running (which I imagine is the final step in dying before the styling) I know it's going to take longer then expected. I then realize I was being disrespected by having my time wasted ( the hairdresser should have scheduled accordingly so that she would have given herself extra time to finish her prior appt and I wouldn't be sitting awkwardly in the unwelcoming waiting area and at home with my family) so I notified her I wanted to cancel and went home to spend time with my family. I did waste 30 mins of my valuable time in one of the most cringeworthy salon experiences.

I have never had a stylist like Ms. Brandy. My girls and I have been coming ro Brandy for several years. She worked magic on my daughters frizzed and damaged curly hair. I would highly recommend her to anyone for a cut color or anything else. Next time you need your hair done, please stop by and see Brandy. I guarantee you will not be sorry you did. In fact, I bet you become aregular.

I unexpectedly had to find a new stylist to do my extension services (which I understand is a luxury service and normally cost more than other services) I was booked and scheduled over the phone, Then bombarded with emails and text about signing their salon agreement. They were very persistent about signing this form (your appointment will be canceled if you don't sign ahead of time) and it was a bit of a turn off before ever even getting to the salon. When I sat down at the chair, the stylist and I went over the reinstall process, And she began getting to work. At no point before our appointment or during the consultation was pricing ever discussed. I will take partial responsibility for not asking, but like I said, I am used to paying fairly high prices for my service. When we were almost done with my move up, I finally asked about their pricing and was very shocked To hear that they charge $200 per row to move up extensions. I have been wearing extensions for close to four years and never have I paid prices even close to that. I ended up being charged $400 for a service that took less than two hours to complete. I feel like this salon should have been more transparent with their pricing upfront, especially offering luxury services like they do. The service quality was average and most of the appointment was silent and a little awkward. When she was finished with my move up I wasn't even offered to have my hair styled/ curled Which was a little shocking since that is normally included with a service like this (Especially at this price point). I paid for the service and left a tip for the stylist as she did do a decent job and pricing is not determined by her..
