A day before Thanksgiving, my gum area where I had my one implant is beginning to hurt. Of course, we lay people google symptoms and find the worse so I email Dr. Palola's office. She emails me and apologizes because their office is closed for the holidays, totally understandable. But she offers to prescribe antibiotics which made me happy bc I'm thinking it's probably an infection. A few hours later, she emails me again and apologizes for the delay in responding - she's in JAPAN!! I'm feeling so, so bad for bothering my favorite dentist while she's on vacay!!! Yet she's so professional that she checks her emails - aya! Love this woman and feel so bad for her family! Who says that about a dentist visit? From scheduling an appointment to the parking to the treatments... just a pleasant experience. I had my first crown which I was a bit nervous about but it turned out it was a breeze and no discomfort afterwards. It looks great and blends seamlessly. They are so efficient and super gentle. I mean they give you a topical numbing then a few numbing shots and once that's more numb.. they give you more numbing shots. Brilliant. I felt almost nothing at all. I also got that taken care of plus a cleaning plus replacing silver fillings all in one visit. Dr. Jaclyn was super detailed but fast and gentle. She was the actual person doing the cleaning too not the hygienist. It was the most comfortable cleaning I've ever had! Highly recommend.

First of, I would like to say that Dr. Jennifer Sasada is the sweetest and caring Dentist and I would continue to see her again even though what happened was very wrong and as I mentioned this is not the first time it happened by reading the reviews. It's the FRONT DESK and she's is also the BILLER by the name CAROL. On the day of my appointment she stated that I had full balance from couple months ago of over $200. I was surprised as I have dual coverage. Long story short, she had made a duplicate insurance request and overcharge me. When I found out that she had overcharged me, then right away she said oh you have another balance from your cleaning, which I knew she was lying, because she would have mentioned it a long time ago. I asked for her last name, because I was ready to report her. She wouldn't give me her last name and then said oh I just check your file and you don't have any balance. I say this again, Dr. Jennifer Sasada and the back staff are the sweetest and caring people, but you just have to watch out for CAROL at the front desk and biller.

I will preface that I retired from the medical community after 20 years of service. I'm disappointed to see that patient care and customer service are not a priority in this office. I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago. I had to take 4 hours off to come to my dental appointment and to put it in perspective my wage for 4 hours is $160. First off, I did not receive an appointment reminder. I looked on the website an hour and a half before my appointment time to confirm my own appointment because the website lists they are closed on Friday's. Receptionist states they were open and I let her know that the website says differently. Secondly, I arrive at the dentist office "on time." Finally, Surprise. Surprise. Door locked. I called the office --once again -- because I did not realize there are two locations in Waipahu. It would be nice if there was a note on the door or the appointment clerk directed new patients to the correct office in advance. I will not be using this office for my families dental care needs.
