I brought my 13-year-old daughter in for a visit and was very uncomfortable with how the dentist addressed her dental crowding. Instead of focusing solely on treatment options, he made comments about her appearance, including saying it would have been "okay if she was a boy," but because shes a girl it's worse for her. He also made assumptions about how often she looks in the mirror and how she might feel about her smile. I understand that crowding can be a legitimate concern, but the way it was communicated felt inappropriate and unnecessary--especially in front of a young teen. I expect healthcare providers to be professional, respectful, and mindful of how their words can impact a child's self-esteem. We will not be returning here. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dado Dentistry! Dr. Dado is one of the kindest and most genuine dentists I've ever met. He always takes the time to make sure I'm comfortable, explains everything clearly, and manages to make every visit feel easy and stress-free. I always leave feeling better than when I came in, and not just because of the great dental care, but because everyone in the office is so friendly and welcoming. The receptionist, Chris, is wonderful. She is professional, kind, and always so patient and helpful. They are both incredibly thorough and clearly take pride in what they do. It's rare to find a place that makes you feel truly cared for from start to finish, but Dado Dentistry does exactly that. I'm so grateful to have found them and couldn't recommend them more highly! I had an issue with this place before, but unfortunately this place doesn't respect their own clients. I had an appointment for 8 am. Arrived by 8:05, according to my watch and the dentist had already assumed that I was a no- show and left to run "an errand". Let me get this right, when they are running late they don't even call to notify me, but if Doc has to leave, 5 minutes is enough for him to wait. Going to be looking for a more competent person and staff than these jokers. What a waste of time indeed. read more

I am finally ready to share my experience. Here is a report I wrote after my procedure. This review is in hopes of saving someone from going through the same horrific pain as I did. Dr. Andrew Dado was supposed to remove two wisdom teeth on Jan.11, 2020, with the appointment time of 10:00 am. He first took the top right wisdom tooth out, but not very smoothly. (I have had one wisdom tooth removed before, a few years ago, so I know what to expect.) Starting at the beginning of the appointment, he did not sanitize my mouth before making any open wounds, nor did not tell me the risks of the procedure (I only noticed this after a second dentist told me risks a few days later). Also, he did not have an assistant helping him perform one of the hardest teeth extraction procedures a dentist can do; the farthest top teeth. In reference to the second tooth he attempted to extract, he struggled to take the tooth, located on my top left, out for around 40 mins. During this time, I was in extreme discomfort. By not having an assistant and trying to pull back my cheek with one hand, while attempting to pull out my tooth with the other, he tore the corner of my mouth from the continuous pulling of my Cheek with a metal, stick-like instrument. My Cheek was never numbed, thus I felt all the pain with tearing it. He also left me alone in the space, bloody on the chair for around 3-4 times throughout the procedure, only in which one time I noticed him change his gloves from when he was out of view. Towards the end of this modern-day torture, I was full-on crying, but I stuck it through cause I thought it would be over, since he kept reassuring me it was, but it wasn't. In the end, he did not extract the tooth and referred me to a different dentist. I left crying to him and the single male receptionist in the front of the dentist about what unnecessary pain he just put me through and that I'm going to have to go through it all over again because he didn't get the job done. I left with trauma and unnecessary pain at around 12:00 PM. I then made an emergency appointment with the second dentist as soon as possible, since the remaining wisdom tooth was now cracked and exposed to infection. When the other dentist took out the remaining wisdom tooth, it took place on 01/13/2020, the first day of my Spring 2020 semester at UHM. The procedure was very uncomfortable, very quickly, due to the already sensitive/traumatized area and cut-up corner of my mouth. The healing of the side of my mouth was very painful due to me having to open my mouth. The slightest opening would rip open the healing skin even if I was careful. My complaint is in reference to medical malpractice and misconduct for injury and suffering. read more

Been coming to Dado Dentistry for about two years now and I love it here. Everyone is super nice and accommodating. The place is always clean and smells pleasant. They have a tv in the waitinG area, music playing in the back. They are open on Saturday's for appointments only. Dr. Dado is very professional, always calls me Mr. .... and explains eveything in detail before begInning. He's tthe most gentle on my teeth of all the dentist I've ever been too. He's also taking care of my sons braces and if a wire gets loose, they'll make time for him that day usually to fix it. read more

I'm really not giving him any stars at all. I went to him because my tooth hurt a couple years ago and I had to get a root canal on it. He put the temp tooth in and it came out twice and I didn't even eat anything. When the crown was put in it came out couple months after when I was eating a musubi. I had him put it back in but now my original tooth looks like a damn stub because he grinded it down more. Put it back on and it fell off again..this time I had to pay which I'm like wth. At the same time I had infection from the tooth twice and it caused to have another root canal on the tooth next to it. And IT WASTHE WRONG ONE HE DID so he had to do the actual one the second time it got infected...and just today my crown came out again. I have little to no tooth left yu can see the plug he put. I am sick and tired of my crown falling out and mind yu it's my front tooth ohk like talk about embarrassing guys...I recommend you not go to him for a root canal, crown or implant. read more

Very disappointing. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time (really ridiculous especially since they charge $75 if you miss an appointment). Why is their time more valuable than mine? They did not listen to my reasons for the visit. I specifically requested an appointment to discuss veneers or how to improve the appearance of my aging teeth. I left with a unnecessary lecture on brushing/flossing and a new toothbrush. They appear to be in their own world and seem bored with what they do. read more

My son had what I thought was an abscess in his mouth so I called around to see who would take an emergency/walk-in appointment. I must've called 15 places before I called here. She told me to come in right away, wait was a little long but that's to be expected because I didn't have an appointment, he got an x-ray & found out that my son's first adult tooth was growing in behind his baby tooth. My dentist retired and we were looking for a new one on the west side. A friend recommend Dr. Dado to me. He was in Kapolei so we gave him a try. I was so amazed at how good he was. He is a nice person and a wonderful dentist. He explained everything he did, he does his own cleaning, he put a solution on our teeth at the end, and my teeth have never felt better. My wife had the same experience. His staff is also pleasant and professional. I made another appointment for six months and look forward to seeing him again. I recently moved to the Kapolei area and thought I would give this dental office a try. Firstly it is a small office with one dentist. The office itself is very calming, very modern and has all the latest equipment. The receptionist is beyond nice. She is very accommodating and kind. Now Doctor Dado is so kind, so careful and very compassionate. I am a scared cat patient and he has been so understanding. His is very meticulous about his work as well. I got a prescription from this dentist was not filled out properly went back again in severe pain & he wrote me the wrong thing again. Now I'm stuck all weekend long suffering because it's just not worth another trip. Very unprofessional with cheap insults, he didn't think I was smart enough to understand because of my teeth. I went in to have my teeth cleaned bu dr. Dado and he did it so quickly that was wondering why was i finished . So after the cleani g appt i had dr.dado perform a root canal on my front tooth which he grinded down the entire tooth and it was like i had no tooth left and the cavity wasn't even that big on the front tooth. He then didnt have my crown that he ordered and i waited for over a month, so i went to another dentist and they made the crown right in their office which dr dado couldnt do. The other dentist also told me if i had a cleaning lately and i said yes dr. Dado had did my cleaning and the other dentist said well it doesn't look like he cleaned it at all and that explains why he finished so fast. Dr.dado sucks and does a poor job on your teeth oppose to other dentists. I would not recommend going to him unless you want bad teeth cleaning and a bad job with cavities and other work.
