Not only did they stay later to see me but they were extremely welcoming, gracious and helpful. I appreciated that Dr. Varchetto not only found a great specialist for my first step of the root canal, but he & his team set up the earliest appt. possible for me and helped relieve some of the pain and treat the infection for the time in-between. I just went back to have my crown done and had a wonderful experience. Dr. Varchetto is caring, meticulous, gentle and highly skilled. He took extra time to explain and show the steps of the process. He goes through a full history of your health. He himself does the full dental exam, the x-rays, and the cleaning. He takes measurements of your teeth, gums, and jaw. He asks that you have any 3rd party offices call him to coordinate your care with them (I'm having orthodontic work, so this is what I'm talking about.) His assistant finishes with polishing your teeth. His office manager, Margaret, is very personable and helpful. She gave me detailed directions on how to get to the office, and they were perfect. I'm so impressed with Dr. Barlas! My only regret is that I didn't find him 35 years ago when I first moved to the Chicago-land area.

This was the worst decision I had ever made.  After $10K out of pocket, my molars are sore when I bite down or put pressure on them after Dr. Sharifi's treatment in August 2024. I can only eat soft food. I can't chew food like  sandwiches and pizzas. I told dr. Sharifi this every time I reach out with emails or at the appointments, he never responds or regards, nor treats. He just ignored it like nothing happened...!!!  I almost had a heart attached after the anesthesia was gone and I found out how my teeth was handled by Dr. Sharifi. I threw up. All the issues remained and He had everything done in a wrong direction!! The crowns he made were bulky, and were/are off of the center of my bite. it's crooked ; and my bite is too low after his adjustments,; my jaw is not in the right position... The shape and arrangement of the crowns were/are not following my nature teeth...and I was/ am having nose numb , headache and dizzy...When I told Dr. Sharifi the issues, he was in rage and roaring, he said he only wanted to hear good things. I teared up in his office. He made significant mistakes which requires massive work to correct. Then he played arrogant, bully, bluff , denied the mistake... I was expecting him to correct the issues with a new set of crowns, he disconnected my treatment in early Nov 2024 and left me in the middle of all dental issues he created!!! He refused to return my old temporary crowns he had removed before placing his crowns! I was asked to sign a waiver of liability of his dental work in exchange for it or he's not giving the old crowns back to me. I didn't sign the document, I left. I need my old PMMA crowns back as a reference for my future treatment !!! This has been the worst experience I've ever had. I can't move on. I've reported it to the regulator.
