The egg salad was very good. Just egg and Light Hellman's Mayo and nothing else. It was a pretty much perfect batch, and a good convenient value at $5. The shelled "tail-on" grilled shrimp were five large nicely seasoned pieces that were delicious. We split the Asian Meatballs dish for dinner tonight. It was a big 19-ounce container with three Asian meatballs, rice, broccoli florets, and julienned carrots, squash, zucchini and scallions. A half portion was plentiful, the meatballs were excellent, and the sweet chili sauce added a zippy finishing touch. If the eggplant lasagna is half as good as the meatball dish, I'd be very happy. Some of the other intriguing listings we saw on their menu were Balsamic Shredded Beef, Turkey Cutlets with Fontina, Garlic Parmesan Flounder, Spanish Rice with Chicken & Shrimp, soups, salads, and desserts. I chose chips thinking that it was included and it is not included as it is a 50 cent up charge. The chips were thinly sliced bagels that had no taste to them whatsoever. Might be a play on the bagel crisps you could buy at the gas station? Skip the chips. Stick with a sandwich. But watch the pricing as. Nothing matched up. Does somebody on Hartford's Franklin Ave serve a pizza with these ingredients? Is there an entirely different Franklin Ave that inspired this pizza? These are questions that I have. In any event, the pizza was overall very good. I'd say the crust is just to the left of middle on the CT pizza thickness scale. For this crust style, it was crispy in the right places and good chewy in the right way. The toppings were mostly very good. The tomatoes seemed like Romas cut across the short way to make full rounds. The best pizza bites featured bursts of tomato juice, spinach and understated, but flavorful garlic. The ricotta was decent, but it was spread a little wide and thin. I'd prefer less spread and thicker accents. I didn't love the chicken. The crispy and seasoned breading had a large presence. No doubt, the chicken worked better here as an intermittent cut topping than it would have worked as a standalone chicken dinner. But the flavor was still strong. I might order this pizza again, but I might try to substitute sausage or meatball for the chicken. Four Stars for New Britain House of Pizza. I definitely saw enough to order from them again, but I'd probably order something at least a little different.

Thin crust (my preference) that's chewy and flavorful. I'm usually not a big fan of chicken on pizza but theirs is chopped up finely which I really like! The shawafel grinder is awesome! Juicy chicken thigh with falafel and a bit of tahini. The bread they use is awesome as well.
