MBE helped me navigate this stressful situation with ease, giving me a comforting feeling that everything was under control and possible. Beyond their top-notch quality, speed, and affordability, MBE's communication is truly one-of-a-kind. He was in charge of the errand and went to Artland, where he got some oils and brushes for her. I couldn't go with him that time so I didn't get to know the art shop that time. But last weekend I went up to check it out. I'm used to see paintings and brushes, canvas and easels at home as I was born in a very artisty family. I'm not as good, but I like drawing and I was missing a couple of pencils. When I came in I realized there was an exhibition going on, so I first picked my pencils and then went to the gallery. It was organized by Eggrolls and as I came in the guy in charge gave me a brochure with information about them. Eggrolls is an art gallery and it teaches painting and drawing as well as sells books and magazines. On this occasion they were showing pieces of art from children as I was very impressed by them! They were of all kinds of styles. I asked the guy if I could attend any courses for adults and he pointed out that I could and who my teacher would be. I could pick up a theme freely and work on it. When I left I decided to check online but unfortunately most of the website is in Chinese and I'll have to ask a friend to translate into English for me. I did love the fact that they not only teach people, but they usually show their works in exhibitions, what a cool idea, not only for children, adults like that too!
I first stumbled upon Znozz when I was scrolling through Groupon and saw a deal from Znozz. I had…read moreno idea what it was so I did some googling: it was started a few months ago in April, and its concept is to allow tired city goers to relax and refresh themselves in a 'znozz', which is basically what they call a room. (The idea is still a little weird to me.) Online, it stated that each 'znozz' is equipped with a sofa bed, TV, charging stations and a bathroom with a rain shower. My friends and I were curious and we were drawn to the fact that there was free flow of drinks on Tuesday during happy hour (we planned to take advantage of this and go on a Tuesday, or course.) We decided to buy 2 Groupons, making it two hours for the four of us to enjoy the room. I was pretty disappointed with the experience overall. The location isn't hard to find, but the entrance of the building is kind of in an alley. The place itself is tiny and the room was MUCH smaller than I thought - the sofa bed was more so, well, just a sofa. There was only one member of staff there and he didn't even mention the happy hour special until I asked him, to which he responded by bringing in a bottle of some Japanese sake/wine (wasn't sure; all Japanese wording) and asked if this was okay. We asked if they had wine, and he brought in a bottle of white wine and we agreed to it. We didn't really look at the label - none of us are experts and we were too hot and sweaty to care. He said he would chill it for us now and bring it in for us later. This didn't make sense to me: shouldn't all their white wine bottles already be chilled? I asked if they had ice, and he said no. To me, it kind of sounded like we were their first customer - the staff didn't seem prepared at all and was kind of just winging the job. I don't blame him though - I blame the management of the place and the lack of thorough job training. When he poured us the wine, it was only half-chilled but we didn't really care anymore. I'm no expert, but the wine tasted extremely cheap and wasn't nice to drink at all. I guess the positives of Znozz are that there is a snack bar outside with packets of chips and chocolate that are free for you to take and eat, and there are board games as well (though we didn't play them). The TV in the room was connected to a system that's sort of like the Apple TV, which we did manage to search for movies and watch on. If you're looking for a place to be able to quietly do your own thing privately, like finish up some work/studying or get ready for a fancy event, Znozz is worth checking out, but if you're thinking of going there just to chill with some friends like we did, then skip it.

Hong Kong is a jurisdiction whereby lawyers can act as a civil celebrant and there are many lawyers in town who claims to conduct X no. of weddings per year but this is certainly the top one to go to. After all, you would not only want a competent lawyer at your wedding but ones who could be witty and funny and defuse any situations (god forbid) that may arise half way through. Weddings aside, M.K. Lam is a full service law firm that offers other legal support as well. They have a long history as one of the earliest all Chinese law firms in town and they are well known for their personal injuries practice as well as criminal law support. From personal experience, they are an attentive law firm who at my wedding offered no less than a great and memorable experience. They took the pressure off me when there was a million and one thing on my mind where they had dealt with all the paper work before hand.

In this market where recruiting firms fight for business, they really have to try hard to make themselves stand out. Not that I'm saying how Robert Walters is better than Michael Page and other recruiters, but their approach to people and the general experience just seems that much nicer. This is actually quite a difficult review to write as I guess everybody's experience will differ depending on the role you are after and the industry you are in. So I'm just going to look at the general experience. The office is located in the middle of Central which makes it easy for you to get to during short breaks or just to nip out for a bit. Their staff were happy to meet me outside but I just preferred the privacy of an office. The entrance was big and bright and the interview rooms were really quiet. They were quick to respond to me and the process was rather smooth. You will note that I have given them 3 stars- that's because I think no recruitment firm could ever be 5 stars unless you did the application yourself. However, if I had to do a comparison between this firm and their competitors in the market, I would still choose to go for them.
