At the time of the visit no one was at the front desk and no one came out until 5mins later. I would like to share my overall experience with management regarding several of the Goodyear Auto Service Center locations I interacted with. It seems that there is a price discrepancy regarding Tire Balance and Tire Rotation for each location as I was given a different price each time. I was quoted from $10.99~$15.99 per Tire for the Tire Balancing, and an additional $10~$25 for the Tire Rotation. It was unexpected to hear that they would charge for the Tire Rotation when the tires are off in the first place for the balancing. As a consumer, this experience made me feel like I was being scammed and taken advantage of and such flexible pricing adjustment practice should not be allowed, period. In a addition, the price for Tire Balance and Rotation is actually less at a dealership (Lexus @ $62 total Plus a complementary car wash) than with Goodyear. Please be advised. Below are the locations I dealt with: Jericho, NY Levittown, NY Freeport, NY Hempstead, NY Union, NJ Since Goodyear is a Corporate Operated company, wouldn't the pricing structure be the same through out each store? Or is each location allowed to have their own pricing system? Either way, a reputable establishment such as Goodyear shouldn't have any minute issues such as this. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Brought my truck in to get tires I bought offsite mounted and balanced. After two hours they invoiced me and said it was done. Went outside as it was closing time and the old tires were still on the truck. For a second I thought I was in the twilight zone and when it settled in my thoughts was are these guys fucking with me?! Went in and they said they couldn't do it. What?! Then said they could probably do it the next day. Got my money credited back and left. These guys are a total garbage shop. Don't ever use them. All they had to say was we didn't do it. Or we couldn't do it. Did they try to work me over? Or were they just that illiterate. If they are that illiterate then you don't wanna bring your vehicle here anyway. read more

HONESTY!!!! Something you don't find these days. I had a flat on the Northern State and got off at the nearest exit to find a gas station. Luckily, there was Goodyear. I thought for sure, no matter what, they would tell me I needed a new tire. Within 45 mins, my tire was repaired (I had a nail in it) and to my surprise, it was of no cost because they were able to repair it. Okay so to start off, I left this place incredibly satisfied. They asked me to write a review, and upon reading reviews from customers before me, I'm convinced some of them are writing about a different Goodyear. Also, lack of patience is not a reason to leave a bad review. There is a high chance there are five cars ahead of you. There may be unforeseen issues with those cars. If you can't be patient, leave. Here's my story. Driving down Rte 107 in my Wrangler and I notice the tire pressure light is on, figures. I stop and look at the tires - the right rear is clearly losing air. Go to take the spare off the back and realize the numbskulls in NJ where I got the jeep put locks on every tire on the vehicle and never gave me the key. They did, however, give me .. more locks. So I managed to get the truck to Goodyear. Went in feeling like an idiot and explained the situation. There was already an arrogant guy giving them a hard time about something on his brand new Range Rover and he didn't want to have to drive one of his 6 other cars so I figured they'd have no patience left for me. Not the case. They took my truck in and the head mechanic told me he had a few different methods of getting the locks off and would try whatever he could. The original plan was to repair the one tire, however while waiting in the lobby I saw they had a set of tires that would have worked really well on my truck going for $125 a piece (clearance price). The tires that were on my truck had about 60,000 miles on them so repairing would've been redundant. With install charge and tax the total came to close to $1000 (Wrangler's require 5 tires - spare rides on the back). I explained that I'm a grad student who is in school/studying more than I am working and therefore that was beyond my budget. Anthony at the front desk ended up speaking to some higher ups and was able to do all 5 tires plus install for $650. I was absolutely blown away, considering these tires (Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors) normally go for $150-$180 a piece. All in all they turned a less than desirable situation into a great one. I went in there stressed about not being able to make the hour commute home, and they made me feel like an old friend. Helped me out in any way they could. Edit: Since then I have gone back to do break work as well as for oil changes. Has been a pleasant experience each time. That's just my story. I had a wonderful experience with Goodyear. My tire blew out right after attending the funeral of my sister, just a few miles from the cemetery. Needless to say it was a dark time. After taking 1 hour to get a tow truck to put a crappy donut tire on my car, I managed to limp around 7 miles over to Goodyear in Jericho. They were closing in 45 minutes, yet assured me that they would not leave me or close without finding a solution. I had to drive all the way back to Brooklyn that night. The guys that I dealt with were super friendly, and reassuring. Good people. They wound up replacing both back tires to maintain balance, and let me know about the 3 year warranty. More than anything though, I was impressed with their kindness and caring. Very personal and professional. I plan to drive all the way back out there from Brooklyn when I'm ready to replace my front tires. It was quite a tough day with the funeral and the tire blowout, (we missed a whole family gathering afterwards) but the guys at this Goodyear really saved the day. I've been there twice. I went during the week and dealt with a really nasty guy named Joe A. He struts around like the manager but it turns out he's just a service advisor! He was very rude when explaining what was wrong with my car and pushy about trying to sell me tires. I didn't have the time and told him I'd come back. I came back on a Sunday and what a difference! The staff was so nice and even showed me what was wrong with my tires. The young lady who works there explained what was wrong and what can cause the wear I had on my tires. Everyone there was very patient when explaining things and so friendly. The wait was very long but they said it was because they're very short staffed on Sundays and it looked like they were. If you are thinking about going there I'd say go on a Sunday or don't go at all. I certainly won't go back and deal with Joe again. What a rude guy... Oh and they only give unhappy customers "discounts" because the prices they originally charge are so overinflated! read more

We got a flat tire and were sitting on the side of the road waiting for our roadside assistance. While trying to figure out where to get a tire from we called Goodyear. Walt answered the phone and was extremely helpful and let us know that they had the tire in stock and were open until 4. When we arrived Walt was extremely kind and even told us about a warranty we could purchase in the future. Our tire was replaced and we were back on the road in an hour. read more

We've had really good experiences with these guys. They are pretty nice and they have treated my wife very well in the past. They repaired a tire and because of the heat the glue didn't bond well. When the tire went flat they prioritized the problem and fixed it right away. They gave us a good deal on a set of all weather tires on a very snowy day. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I used to go to my car dealership to get work done, but the one I like going to is in an inconvenient location. Goodyear Jericho is in walking distance (about a mile) from the Hicksville train station and a few buses, so transportation is readily accessible if you need to be somewhere else and don't have a ride. Being a female, sometimes it is hard to find mechanics who are not trying to BS me... Every time I come here, it is a positive experience. They are not trying to force me to buy services I don't need, they're efficient, and they're excellent at customer service. read more

We have lived in Jericho for one year now and have been taking our two cars to Goodyear for service and oil changes. Last week we brought our car in for a standard oil change and it was either the owner or manager that asked my husband if we were new to the area and has noticed how he regularly uses this Goodyear for our cars. He stated how appreciative he was for our continued patronage and provided our oil change FREE OF CHARGE!!! What a fabulous unexpected and most appreciated gesture - in a world of faceless and nameless people and services the exceptional behavior stands out as above and beyond - How could I not share this and once again give thanks for recognizing customer loyalty. 5+ stars!!!! read more

I had a full set of tires, rotation and tune up. They did a great job of quick and quality service

11/10/11 went in today to get my 2 rear tires replaced. The tires were ordered 2 days ago and came in yesterday. I can say that the staff was very helpful when it came to ordering the tires. It was also delivered really fast. The techs were also very good. The tech that mounted my tires were careful not to damage my powder coated white wheels. The lugs were torqued by hand as I requested. They used a proper lift so to not damage my extremely low S2000. The other Tech, John who aligned my wheels was very nice. He allowed me to see what the hunter machine was reading and what the proper numbers should be. I was shown all the procedures step by step. Then the manager, Joe A. Also gave me a slight discount. I came in at 11am and had asked if I was going to be finished by 1pm. Needless to say I was out of there by 1250. All the documents and receipts were nicely organized for me by Tom and all in all it was a very pleasant experience. The only peeve I have would be the price. So I got a flat tire, ordered a new one from the internet and needed to get it mounted and balanced on a Sunday. The garage I usually use along with most places were closed so I called around and found Goodyear open. I told them on the phone what I needed, I would bring them a rim and tire off the vehicle along with a new tire they just have to mount and balance it for me. I arrived and the counterman was very friendly. He gave me a discount I didn't ask for because the wheel was already off the vehicle. I think it took them about an hour to do it. Not bad because I went over to Sears and the mall and didn't make it back for a few hours anyway. I had my laugh of the day when I went to pick up the wheel and a clueless man was in front of me in line. He was arguing with the counterman because he did not want his new tires balanced. It was 6:58 (2 minutes until close) when I called Dennis at GoodYear in a panic. I had left my second job of the night and discovered that my rear driver side tire was rapidly losing air. I went to the local Gulf station and the nice gas attendant filled my tire for me. He confirmed that I indeed had a problem. Unfortunately, the nearby repair shop was closed and I'd have to wait until the next day to fix or replace my tire. I had to get home which was an hour away and back and forth from work the next day before I could even contemplate getting my Jeep in for repair. As soon as I left the station, my tire starting losing air again. I desperately googled tires and came up with the local GoodYear in Jericho. Luckily for me, I reached Dennis. He informed me he was closing and had just let his last guy go home. I explained my predicament and how concerned I was about getting home safe. He told me to come down and he'd see what he could do. 40 min later from the time I left the gas station the screw was located, the tire patched, and a no charge receipt was issued. This man wouldn't even accept a tip! He told me he could hear the concern in my voice and would never let his wife or daughter drive like that. Don't we all want to give our business to someone who treats his customers like family? I can't thank Dennis enough! I may not live in the area, but I will refer all of my Nassau county friends from work there and I hope you'll do yourself a favor and go there too if you're ever in need. Ask for Dennis! read more

Dear New Car Owners. If you are an experienced driver, it might not help you much. However, for new drivers; please don't go here if you want to save money. I was a new car owner and didn't have much knowledge about cars, and I can't tell you how much money I had to put on maintenance. The only reason, I visited this place as it was near to my home and also that I was not very confident with my driving skills. And these guys would come up with at least 1-2 things that were not essentially needed and convince me with the security issues. I learned this in a hard way when I visited another place and was quoted $50 for the same problem GY guys quoted $450. I feel the need to write something to help my fellow new drivers. Thanks. The people in this place must be paid by commission, because they just aren't being honest. Most of the reviews here are 1 star and for good reason. I went there a few years ago for some minor service. I was in the waiting area and there was a woman waiting there for her car to be worked on. I don't know exactly what she was having done, but the mechanic came into the room (with a fake worried look on his face) and said she needed a wheel alignment, in addition to the other work that she was already having done. She said no. The guy then went on to whine that she needed one. She said no again. Then he said that he'd knock $15.00 off the price. She said no. He whined and whined asking her "why not," like a 3 year-old child whose mommy just told him "no" to a Happy Meal. I felt sorry for her, I thought about my wife and what if that was her being badgered into a wheel alignment. Unfortunately, I have left this place completely disappointed due to poor customer service manners from certain employees. I have no problem when a mechanic suggests or recommends certain services, however, I do have a difficulty accepting an interaction when the employee's tone of voice sounds angry and condescending. The employee can certainly feel upset if the customer declines services, but the employee can respect the customer's decision as it is ultimately up to the customer to decide what he/she wants done to his/her car. I give it two stars because some of the employees can be helpful and demonstrate decent customer service. However, there are a few whom I have no respect for, which makes me double think in terms of where I want to take my car. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!! THEY WILL FIND ANYWAY TO CHARGE YOU FOR UNNECESSARY REPAIRS!!!! 6 HOURS FOR A NYS INSPECTION!!!!! Absolutely horrendous experience at this place. I called and wanted to schedule an appointment for a NYS Inspection, something that usually takes about 30 min but apparently not here. They said to drop it off first thing in the morning because they were busy. I discovered quite the opposite when I arrived. Not a single mechanic was working on a vehicle when we arrived. Busy huh? I told the mechanic that we would like to drop it off and they said they would call us when it was done. Come to find out that was a huge lie. Well over two and a half hours later they had not called so we went back to inquire what was going on. They said they had not gotten to it yet because they were busy. Well their idea of busy must be eating snacks and smoking cigarettes because if that were the case they were plenty busy. Another 45 minutes and a few twinkies later and they finally begin the inspection. Then 30 min later they tell me that some mysterious part for the steering was broken even though I just had the car fixed less than 3 months ago by a good mechanic. They said that they cannot pass the inspection unless we get this part fixed and we agreed to the repairs. What else could we do? We were being held hostage by a mechanic, embarassing. They said that they would be done shortly. If by shortly you mean 2 more hours then yes. Then another hour goes by and we still have not heard anything and we inquire what is taking so long. They said that they had to go to another location to pick up the part and they would be back within the hour. Now it has been 5 hours since we dropped the car off with absolutely no information provided to us other than when we ask for a manager. Finally, 6 hours later and $600 poorer our car was complete. What a joke. FYI Goodyear, mechanics make money with good service, repeat business and word of mouth, you provided none of this. You don't keep customers with 1 time unnecessary repairs. read more

My family has been coming to this station since 1992. In that span of time we have been treated with the utmost care and respect. I am writing this review only because I had recently experienced a series of problems with my car that were very difficult to diagnose and repair. Dennis, the manager, resolved himself to steadfastly find the problem, which he ultimately did, and fix it. It took some time, but they didnt let me down (no surprise). I have been to this shop a few times and every time I'm there they have an extra repair for me. The first time I was there I had my oil changed in two of my cars. One car (that I had a full system check on no more than a month ago) they had almost a grand worth of repairs for, my other car they had a few hundred. I had them change the air filters and did not get the other repairs and things are good. I thought I would give them another chance and get my oil change there again. After my car had been there awhile they called me and said that they would give it a free alignment check, aka extra repair. Sure enough they called back and told me things are way off and would cost 90 to fix. I told them no and than they said they would take 15 off, I went ahead with it. They told me it would be done in an other hour. When no one called I walked over. My car was sitting out front and done but still no call. I asked the manager how my alignment could be so off when about two weeks ago I had a rotation and balance done (by them) on it after getting a tire flat fixed. He told me snow (there was one day with snow) and standard driving. My car was not drifting to a side and I did not feel chatter, but to be safe I went ahead with it. When I was paying a coupon I had for the oild change would not work because they said they used an oil blend. My overall feeling of this place is that they are in the business of helping them selves out. People seem nice but that's to get your money. Out of three oil changes all of them have been around a hundred in the end. It's my fault for going back and paying. Please don't make the same mistake. Goodyear should be able to produce better shops. read more

I go here for oil changes and certain other fix-ups only because they are close to where I live. The reason I still gave them 1 Star is because 8 out of 10 of their employees have a extremely condescending attitude. I speak in a completely non-threatening and mild-mannered tone and they still respond with anger. I do not make outlandish demands or ask for rapid service either. So, avoid this place if you can.
