I used to work at this Goodyear a while back, and it being winter we got the family car service done. My wife scheduled an appointment for an oil change and rotation. 1. The car wasn't pulled in until an hour after it was scheduled. 2. The car was on the rack for an hour as well. 3. They took no care that she had a fussy newborn with her. No urgency on their part. 4. I just did an oil change on it and the drain plug, that was new, is completely rounded like they put it on by impact and I had to use my pipe wrench to get the darn filter off. Get it together guys. Goodyear at Summit Mall is great! We've taken our cars there for a while now, and we always get great service. Yesterday, my wife and I were on our way to dinner and a show in Cleveland, and heard a bang. Almost immediately, the low tire warning came on on the dash, and we could literally watch as one of the tires kept losing air. We were only about a half a mile from Goodyear, so that's where we headed. We explained to one of the team members, Casey, what was going on and the time crunch we were under. He said no problem, you may not make dinner, but I'm sure we can get you out of here in time to make your show. He then went on to tell us about several restaurant options in the area we could go to while we waited since we were missing our dinner plans. In just over an hour, they had us back on the road. Ironically, we were having tires put on our other vehicle today. When I walked in Casey greeted me like an old friend, got me checked in, then said he hoped everything turned out well the night before and that we made our show. I love when any place treats you like family, and that's just the type of service we get when we go to Goodyear! read more

Phew!!!!!! Saved our happy asses coming back from dirtbike riding late Memorial day!!!! heading home from the nether regions and right about at White Pond drive on 77 we had a trailer tire delaminate.(the tread came COMPLETELY OFF!) So we limped off to inspect, the tire still held air but no tread what so ever. Yanked it off and got back on 77 and 5 minutes later KABAM!!!! The OTHER SIDE WENT!!!! Well this time the tire expoded and just shredded! We were freaken stuck! But we had the other tire that still held air and limped off at Ghent to Summit Mall where Goodyear Auto was still open for another 20 minutes and were glad to help us!!! 20 minutes later we're back on the road and home safely... Can't thank those folks enough and they were VERY pleasant and professional... Oh and we didn't get raped on the cost either!!!! YAY!!! read more

Very friendly staff, but I don't know why an oil change at this place takes so long. I've never had an oil change here that took less that 2 hours to complete. I forgot why I stopped coming here for an oil change because it takes so long. Literally been waiting for 2.5 hrs and my car is just now being flushed out so I'll probably be here another 30 mins. The last time I came it took so long they did it for free the next day. All of my experiences have been with an appointment so I would think it would be in and out. They need a bay exclusively for "quick fixes" because this is ridiculous. read more

Since zero or negative stars are not an option, I gave 1 star. I took my car to Goodyear because my brakes did not seem right. I had around 55,000 miles on my car. They changed my rotors and pads on Saturday, 8/30. On Thursday, 9/3, 5 days later, my brakes failed in a parking lot. I had both feet pressing down on the brake, and nothing happened. It was terrifying! I hit multiple cars & a sign before my car finally came to a stop. My car, as well as the cars that I hit, sustained a great deal of damage. I was told by police at the scene that there was likely air in my brake lines. Goodyear's response, after THEY inspected their work, was that it was the brake drum, not their work. So, according to them, it was totally unrelated to their work (which I paid close to $1000 for). They didn't inspect the brake cylinder, according to Goodyear, when they replaced the pads and rotors. Goodyear is trying to deny all responsibility and say it was just a 'random' incident that my brake cylinder failed within 5 days of their fixing my brakes. They weren't 'told' to check the brake cylinder. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the parking lot, and the failure didn't result in injuries. However , for Goodyear to deny all responsibility is appalling! read more

Eeeek. I've had our vehicles serviced at Goodyear for many years. I'm about to stop. This is the worst G'year store I've visited -- and I've been to many. There is usually no one to greet you when you enter; one must search or wait for an employee. (Very strange layout of the interior.) Promises are not kept and one leaves wondering if one has been fleeced. Sad. read more

This place is frustrating to say the least. Very helpful people inside offset by unorganized, poorly managed mechanics working at a snail's pace! I call the mechanics/repair people "ODOT" as only 1 person does any work while 2 or 3 people watch. read more

The customer service is great but they take a really long time to service your vehicle. Every time I come for any service I wait at least a hour and half. You guys need to stop playing around in there and get the work done that's why you guys are always backed up. read more

On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, I found a bolt in my tire before I started my long trip on I-80. I brought my car in, and they were able to patch the tire within a couple of hours for FREE. I was extremely happy with the service I received and the turnaround. If they had told me that I needed a new tire (or two - you can't necessarily just replace one), I totally would have done so. But, they didn't sell me something that wasn't needed! read more

Overbook appointments and let you sit around for hours. Don't take your car here, there are plenty of better options near by.

We were stranded at the Summit Mall and walked over to Goodyear for help. They were backed up four hours and it was Friday. Still, the manager gave his car keys to one of his mechanics to drive over to our car, retrieve and patch our tire, and return us to our vehicle. They've certainly earned our future tire business. read more
