I needed new tires and after comparing prices everywhere Goodyear seemed to have the best deal on the tires I wanted. They currently have a great rebate if you use their credit card. I ordered the tires online and chose this location since they're across the street from the mall so I was able to walk over and entertain myself during the approximate 2 hour wait. The person who was working there was super friendly. He called me while they were working on the alignment and told me about some other issues with the car that they recommended service on. I declined because I'd rather compare prices with other mechanics and he didn't give me any attitude about saying no. The work was done well and fast with great customer service. Came here for an oil change, no one at the front desk. Had to go around to the mechanic side and ask for help. The person that took care of me kind of had an attitude. I can feel the vibe of ignorant coming from him. Not many cars which is a good thing u will get in an out in no time. Very spacious place in the waiting area. Many chairs, nice flat screen televisions. Wiper blades and many tire options and offers. Will visit again if I'm the area, that's a out it but it's not a must go to spot if I'm not. read more

Goodyear saved us!! My sister and I got into an unfortunate driving incident on the highway and ended up with two popped tires on our small car, and we were stranded on the shoulder. Because of Covid, AAA could not drive us anywhere so getting out of the situation was extremely complicated, and it was already almost 5pm. Paul at Goodyear told us he would stay open even if we (and the tow truck) didn't get there until after they closed, and when we arrived he was extremely kind and helpful. They looked at our car and after half an hour they had replaced the two tires, checked the alignment, and took the car for a drive before we got back on the road to make sure everything was okay. We are so grateful to Paul and the team at Goodyear for helping us through this sticky situation and staying open late to make sure we got help. Great service. Thank you!! read more

Brought my car at Edison store to get 4 new tires and wheel alignment today. After paying for it and driving off the lot I noticed a loud grating noise on the front right tire. I drove right back with my husband as he was with me when I picked it up. My husband went in to let them know of the situation. He asked if anybody even test drove it before telling us it was ready. Brought the car there with no sound as we just had the car serviced by our mechanic. The manager looked at it for a minute then took off leaving the two mechanics and the customer service guy to deal with us. They took the wheel off looked at it then put it back on then checked the sound again and it was still there. We were told to leave the car until Monday as there is no manager or technician to check it. This is very frustrating and scary as it's a tire issue. The manager left without resolving the issue. *update - issue resolved the next day. read more

Unless you have simple need, watch out for this shop that love to rip you off. I walked in today asking for fuse replacement. The clock and radio are off so very likely it was caused by a blown fuse. They asked for $90 for the test up front. When I questioned the manager the need of one hour labor if it is 90% a fuse problem, he started to yell "you are telling me how to run my store?" I took my car to a local Pep Boys store where the store clerk helped to get fuse replaced for $3.50. I can understand each store needs to make money but taking advantage of people is not good business. I have heard other bad stories like people went for multiple visits to get car fixed... read more

Goodyear has done it again! I, like so many others out there, always find it tough to trust someone to work on my car because I know so little about the inner workings of automobiles. I am relying on what is told to me. Over the last few years I have went around to different locations in the iselin/edison Nj area trying to find someone I feel confident working on my car. I feel confident in saying Goodyear will handle all my repairs moving forward. This place must have new management since the last reviews. My radiator hose broke and these guys squeezed me in between their other work. I was able to get back on the road within a reasonable time. I brought my vehicle there because my engine was misfiring after being repaired at another Goodyear (out-of state), a few days earlier. They did not honor the Goodyear National Warranty and instead tried to sell me a complete set of coils (nearly $1000.00), that my own mechanic told me were completely unnecessary! So my appointment was for 8am Monday morning. I should have known right from the start something was wrong when at 7:30 am I show up and although the place opens at 7 am the front doors were locked. So then I get in and and brother arrives with our '05 Vette. He parks it in the lot and we meet in the office to sign the 1800$ service order for 4 new tires and a front alignment. We're told 3 to 4 hours. We wanted to wait until they drove the car into the garage. We watched as what i thought was just a lot jockey sat in the car for a few minutes. We were wondering what the heck he was doing. Finally I went over to the car and asked the " lot jockey" what was wrong. "It won't start", he said. "Did you push in the clutch"? "Oh", he says as he pushes the clutch in and starts it and moves it into the bay. I should have driven off then. So my brother and I drive off. Then 3 hours later the service manager calls me. I answer " All done"? He says not exactly we have a problem. He goes on to tell me the car slipped off the lift. You read right. THE CAR SLIPPED OFF THE LIFT. As I write this I'm waiting for a flat bead. The lot jockey was doing the tires on my Vette. He failed to mount the lift in the correct lift point on the cars under side. If you need tires or any kind of work on anything more then a Toyota Camry go somewhere else. So it's now a year later and all went well. I was really upset for a long time but Goodyear corporate paid for everything and the car is is almost as good as new. The total body work came to almost 8000$. I didn't have to pay for anything. I chose the body shop and Goodyear even paid for a rental for two weeks. We choose to rent a SS Camaro from hertz for one week. That was fun. I will never go to Goodyear again and will still advise that you don't either. read more

This was not my first time having my car serviced by this location, but it is definitely my last. It's unfortunate as I see potential in things possibly turning around with Nick as their new store manager. Once he got involved, I felt a bit more reassured that things would start to run a bit smoother. I originally left my car at their shop on a Friday night for it to be serviced on the following Saturday morning. I was expecting my car to be returned to me that Saturday evening. After several calls during the day, I was told that certain parts would need to be ordered and I was promised that my car would be ready for pick on Sunday at the latest. Not only were the parts not ordered, I was informed by Dan, the service manager, that my car was thought to have simply been left over from Saturday; therefore, he did not even look at my car at all on that Sunday. I was then told to bring my car back on Friday around 5:30 pm and that he would clear their schedule to ensure that I could drive my car off their lot that same evening before closing. I arrived a bit early and after being dropped off at Seasons 52 (which is across the street) and waiting a couple of hours for their call, I was finally called about 20 minutes before they closed at 7:00 pm to find out that my car was not even touched ....again. The only reason I returned is because my exhaust was under warranty, and so they were responsible for repairing my gasket. I also needed a new gas tank door which I was told they could take care of. They ordered the part and did not realize it came only in black. My car is not black. I would then have to find a body shop to have it painted and repaired. There was so much time wasted, and the level of communication between shifts is deplorable. There was absolutely no follow-up from Dan, and I was under the impression that he would rather blame others for not doing their job correctly rather than ensuring that things would be handled appropriately from here on out. When the ball was dropped, again, I should have received an apology, at the very least, from Dan. Nick, however, was more than gracious and went over and beyond what was required of him to help rectify my issues. The mechanics who worked on my car were also very helpful and apologetic. This experience has exhausted me, but I will make sure that the General Manager and others are aware of how this store is being run, because it isn't fair for their customers; and it makes those employed there appear incompetent. Never do I want to feel as if I am being taken advantage of. This, of course, did not help any. read more

Stopped in today with a tire that could be salvaged. It had a few nails in it but a AAA worker told me not to waste my money buying a new one when I could have the tire saved for a few bucks. The store manager - tony provided me with great quality and honest service. The wait time was not bad at all. I usually go to the Goodyear in Piscataway and I would have to wait a full hour and some change just to get an oil change. Tony fixed my lights .. And an oil change in just about an hour or less . This location used to get a bad rep but now under new management .. Tony definitely turned this place around! He knows what he's doing - definitely recommend. read more

This Good Year is not like any other car service establishment. They provide an incredibly clean environment and the staff members always have smiles on. The service was quick and they accept coupons without being grumpy. Plus, there is plenty to do within walking distance so that is a major plus. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never return there. The sales manager Pete is rude to say the least. I bought tires from there a couple years ago-they broke my TPMS sensor & i had to pay to replace it...Silly me went back in February for a new set of tires & obviously 1 of the tires they put on was defective because i have been back several times since i purchased the tires with an issue & every time they put air in the tire & send me on my way. I got to the point i was fed up & insisted something was wrong with the tire. Still unsure as to why i had to point this out to the tire professionals but that's not here nor there. I will admit through all this my frustration got the best of me & i did raise my voice to Pete but he handled himself extremely unprofessional. I use to work in customer service for 5 years & no matter how mad, rude, loud, etc. the customer got i never raised my voice to them the way he did to me. While i was waiting patiently for them to replace my tire (good thing i had road side ins. or they would have charged me for the defective tire they originally sold me) another customer came in & was getting on him about what they were suppose to do to her car (which she paid for) but failed to do so..This place is poorly managed & i will be lodging a complaint with the Goodyear corporate office in regards to this. read more
