Called to see if I could get an auto quote. The person asked if I had coverage....I told her that we did until yesterday. She basically told me to call elsewhere. Her tone was that of...why would they want to waste their time... I called another broker and they were able to get me 3 separate quotes that were very helpful! read more

THERE IS NO WAY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Sue Holbrook seemed nice at first, then it was a rapid decline from there. After I signed up I received a notice from the actual insurance company they had increased my quote by $800. I call, Sue says she will look into it but doesn't return the call for at least 10 days, then has an excuse why it took so long. Is it so hard to pick up the phone and at least update your client as to what is going on. The problem? Sue failed to completely copy my records proving I had prior insurance elsewhere. The original quote never materialized and I was told there was nothing that could be done; it was a decision made by the company. Then Sue 'offers' to get a quote from a different company, says she will call back next day; never called to this day. I called and left 3 messages, no return call; this is BS. My job was a customer service expert for a very long time, and I promise you this is not what real customer service looks like. As a local TV station recently stated in one of their stories, common courtesy isn't common anymore. Needless to say I went elsewhere. read more

Meet the Business Owner: David G.

David B. Goodwin, CPCU, earned his B.A., cum laude, through a five year work-study scholarship to The College of Insurance, awarded to him by the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Indiana. While earning his degree, Mr. Goodwin spent alternating work terms in five insurance companies in Indiana, Ohio and New York, the Indiana Rating Bureau, an Indiana insurance agency and a broker for Lloyds of London. After graduating, he took a position with Wohlreich & Anderson, Ltd. and opened the first national Lloyd's/Surplus Lines office in the State of Michigan. In 1978, he received the honored professional insurance designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Mr. Goodwin joined the Lademan Insurance Agency in 1980. That year, he worked with Michigan Governor Milliken to help draft new insurance regulations enacted in House Bill 4962. In 1999, he and his wife, Linda Lademan established Goodwin, Lademan & Associates located in Taylor,

She lied again when I came into the office to cancel the policy, saying she told me the price. I told her to cancel my policy. 3 days later I called the insurance company directly, and SURPRISE, she didn't cancel my policy. I'm not joking in any way, this woman is a con artist. She said I probably would not get money back on the policy I cancelled. A policy I had for 4 days, and I'm not getting any money back. This woman does not list her last name on any papers or business cards. She is a grifter.

I have been a customer for over 20 years with this company and placed ALL of my insurance needs, home, autos (2), commercial buildings (2), rental homes (2), umbrella policy, and even two life insurance policies for my grandkids. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM with customer service in all that time. The agents are helpful and suggest changes for me as policies come up for renewal. Sue handles my car insurance and is OUTSTANDING......this year she was able to save me over $280. The whole staff is geared to serving the customer, which speaks well of the owners and managers. Over the years, I have referred many of my customers to them and never a complaint. I highly recommend them to my customers who are purchasing a home (I am a real estate broker) and I sure wouldn't do that if I wasn't extremely pleased with the service that I've received. read more

I called Sue Holbrook at Goodwin, Lademan, & Associates after getting myself into a big mess. She told me she would get back with me with some quotes and I stirred waiting to hear from her worried there would be nothing affordable. Sue promptly got back to me and not only told me she could write me but she was able to save my husband and I $140 a month compared to what we had been paying before! I can't wait until it's time to review my homeowners so I can switch that over to her as well! Been doing business with the Lademan name for over 10 years. I've been with Brian at Goodwin Lademan and associates for the last 4 years. They are an amazing firm that carefully reviews my life situations and provides me with coverage that I actually need and will actually protect me if a loss occurs.
