Ever since moving to RI, I have been to Farm Fresh Providence Farmers Market multiple times. The prices are a bit more than a local supermarket, but I still enjoy checking out the local farms produce and items. There is something for everyone-honey, kimchi, and so much more. The most recent time I went, there were even alpacas that you can pet. At Farm Fresh RI Market Hall, there are also some other local businesses that you can check out. Some are Anchor Toffee, New Harvest Coffee Roasters, Providence Brewing Company, Rhed's Hot Sauce, Tallulah's Taqueria, and Wright's Creamery. Also, there are usually food trucks outside. This is the perfect Saturday morning place, and you can also stroll through the lovely shops and cafes of North Scituate after perusing the farmer's market. I am glad I had a chance to visit before Thanksgiving to stock up on some goodies! If you've been to Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Four Town is kind of similar, although the rustic farmhouse-chic shop does not have a prepared foods counter. However, they more than make up for it with all the amazing vegetables and fruits grown onsite. I was very impressed with the Honeycrisp Apples and Butternut Squash, as well as their wide selection of house made jellies and salad dressings. In addition to Four Town's slate of offerings, they also showcase other local vendors such as Wrights Dairy Farm's milk and cakes and Venda Ravioli's frozen fresh pasta and sauces. Four Town also carries fresh flowers and greenery that is holiday-ready - Christmas Trees and decorative wreaths and evergreen garlands. The team is friendly and offers excellent assistance in recommendations and recipe ideas- everyone we interacted with was delightful.
