There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. My son and I looked around and I found glasses I needed for a dollar a piece. I was exited because this was something I needed and would save me a lot of money. The employee who checked us out was super nice. He gave us mor einfo about the store and gave my son a free item because he was wearing a Star wars shirt. I will be back when I am in need of items for my home.

This place is what you'd expect: full of used stuff, no frills, cheap. That being said the selection is pretty good and the store is actually organized, which is a step up from competitors. I wish they were just a tad less expensive, but as long as they end up lasting, they'll be worth it. I'm usually able to find things that I like at this goodwill but the service is terrible I've had…read moremany not so great experiences with the service but my most recent visit was the worst, I waited for a dressing room for about ten minutes which didn't bother me I had only rung the bell once, a while after a mom and kids came and the kids rung the bell a few times which I understand can be annoying but then I realize the people on duty are fully ignoring me for the next five to ten minutes I wait, literally just staring at me, I assume they were annoyed by the bell ringing and assumed I was the one ringing it but regardless these are 30-40 year old women acting like children when they are getting paid to help and act nice, I finally went up to the counter and asked even though they seemed annoyed that I would go up and ask after fifteen minutes of waiting

You absolutely can't beat that! Headboard & footboard sets for as little as $15. This is the place to be if you're looking for a refresh in your home or getting newly moved into a new place. They have much more than just furniture too! A large selection of light fixtures and accessories, small appliances, kitchen sinks, toolboxes, etc. all at great prices. The staff was very helpful with getting our pieces out to the car. You don't have to be looking for anything in particular to stop in and find something here.

Everything from furniture pieces, windows, farm implements, glassware, china, dolls, record albums, vintage costumes, coins, bottles, etc. It's worth a stop.
