I like the concept behind this store. It shares the name with another such store I found on the…read moreother side of the country. However, the execution is a bit different. Here they've divided the store into sections. One side antique, the other side thrift. The antique side is a nicely curated display of antiques that seem to give that Texas feeling. There's a huge assortment of old cameras I always like looking through. They have some guns and swords, lots of signs, taxidermy, silver plate stuff, old and new bar tap handles, and one old typewriter that I've taken a liking to. My only issue here is that the prices do seem a bit too high. For example with the typewriter, which may need some kind of repair to be functional, so I think the $75 price tag is too much. The thrift side is much less nicely decorated. It feels just like a thrift store and flows like a Goodwill. Some of the items are actually "new old stock". There's a small bookshelf, a bunch of decor and such, some cabinetry for a workshop, and plenty more to peruse. The prices on this side are much more reasonable. Even cheaper than Goodwill in most cases. If nothing else, a trip here is worthwhile because it feels a lot like visiting a museum, except that it's one you can buy stuff from.

Another used clothing store where you can buy, sell, trade. It's basically the same as Plato's…read morecloset, although they seem to try to make it look a slight bit more upscale here. Baseline prices are higher and they don't seem to buy quite as much stuff. I saw a used Old Navy t-shirt in good condition for $8., but if it ever cost more than that price new, it wasn't by much. In other words, you can't let the power of a deal take hold of you. I want to make the world a better place by reusing clothes, but not at the same price as new. You also have to keep an eye on clothing condition here. The men's selection is limited to begin with and what they do have of it is often well worn with faded printing and pilling. I bought a pair of Nike running shorts with faded logo and, I later found, a stain on the inner thigh for $13. Granted these would have been $40 new. On that note, they told me they could really use some more men's polos, quick dry, athletic bottoms, and denim jeans. All items that I suspect, like me, men wear until they fall apart beyond redemption.

Visited this location last night and had a very unfortunate and disgusting experience. When trying…read moreon a coat, I reached in the pocket and met a cold and slimy material. After pushing out the pocket and inspecting as to not touch it further, I saw this (will link a picture). I do not wish to know whether it was a glove or the worst case, but would have liked the situation to be handled differently. After alerting the staff, they simply grabbed it with a Chlorox wipe and jokingly advised not to get the item. No apology or assistance was given and is a direct representation of the locations cleanliness and customer safety.
