Nothing here to see or buy! It's crazy because I donate my items to this location. Whenever I take a trip in to thrift with my daughter we are always disappointed. Poor selections, everything always seems to be underwhelming. I donate my entire families items it's odd that I never see anything similar to the level of what we've donated. Do the nice items even make it to the store floor? In this visit we didn't notice a nice couch which seemed to be in great quality. But nothing else was worth a double look. read more

There is a delicate balance in my home that I am trying to get better a. . If you buy some things, you have to get rid of some things to balance it out. So over the last year, I have been decluttering, downsizing and getting rid of items I no longer need. I love shopping the thrift stores for special items or things I can use. So it makes perfectly good sense for me to donate my gently-used items to Goodwill. This Goodwill has a Donation Center where you can drop off items. If you are so inclined, they will also provide a receipt for your taxes. I call that winning. . . and my house told me thank you. read more

This is a nice store. I like the layout, and there is always plenty of spaces to park in. Some of the staff are friendly. They have a large selection of woman's shoes and clothes, and men's clothes. Here and there they have nice things in the display case like coach bags, men's shoes like yeezys, and small electronics. I frequent it often, never super crowded when I've gone. it's in nice shape compared to other locations I've been at. read more

I love this store!!!! I found a great 2XL Wilson's leather black jacket. Only 15 bucks!!! Another full length wool coat - again only 15 bucks!!! For those of us that are on the plus size of the scale, we can tell you that's hard to find clothing that fits when thrifting. So when I saw these items I could not pass them up. Initially, I was unimpressed with this location. I gave up after two visits, because I could never find anything worth buying. Yesterday, I decided to take the "third time's a charm..." approach and got LUCKY. I scanned the store upon entry and did a quick search for shoes and bags. I liked what I saw off the break and had high hopes of finding a few items. During my sweep, I was able to snag some pretty good stuff. My hefty haul consisted of: Puma/Rihanna, Nike, Elizabeth Arden, ipsy, Nine West, Wanted, ASOS, Mossimo, Olivia Miller, and Koolaburra/UGG. Score! I have never in my life been given the run around so much. They are unorganized and lazy. I arrived to drop off my donation, I was told to come back at 6. They close at 7. I came back at 6 and was told they could no longer take my items that day claiming there's no room. They saw what I had, don't tell me to come back if "there's no room". Came back next day when told to and they aren't taking donations. Better off going to donate at Salvation Army. read more

I'm from Pennsylvania, and there, we placed the items for donation outside because of COVID. So that is what I thought was the process here, especially since I had seen others do it. So, when I went to place the items outside, I was yelled at by two people. They were very rude and refused to listen to me. It was a degrading experience for me. read more

Sit back and lemme tell y'all a tale about the shady retail practices at this location... I found a new-with-tags NBA practice jersey from the $4.99 sports clothing rack. It was clearly identified with a color-coded Goodwill size tag. When the cashier saw that the item was NWT, she said - "Oh. You managed to find one that isn't marked." And before I could say anything, she took it to the back to consult with a manager. She comes back and tells me it's $19.99. I replied - "No, thank you." (I may have actually pronounced it, "OH, HAYELLS NO!", but let's not split hairs) And left. This particular item, although NBA-licensed, was from a C-list manufacturer and not even worth twenty dollars from an actual retail sports store. My issue is not so much with the price as it is with the cashier changing the rules of the game in the middle of a play. That shirt was CLEARLY marked with a Goodwill tag just like every other article of clothing in their racks. But, since she happened to see that the item was still new-with-tags, it suddenly became unmarked because she thought they could ask for a higher price??? No. That's not how retail works, Goodwill. So Most of the time I'm broke with little money in my pocket, but I learned to be smart and shop at thrift stores to save tons and always look fashionable and modern. Among my five top thirft store to shop at, Goodwill is differently number 3 on the charts especially the goodwill in Waldorf Md. I ways find super cute jeans at a steal price of $4, tees and blouses for $2-$6, shoes $7-12, even warm sweater weather for $5!! Never leave the store empty handed especially on student discount day!! P.s staff is friendly( always ask if I need anything) the only down part to this store is the lack of home goods such as plates ect. read more

I believe that this store (Goodwill in Waldorf, Md) deals in shady and possibly deceptive advertising in regard to their discount policy. As you enter store there is a large sign saying what the color of the week is, with a copy of the color of the week tag. when I was just there, color of the week was blue. all but one of my items had the blue tag, which would give me a 50% discount, plus another 25% if I gave them my phone number. When I checked out and paid bill seemed high, so I checked the receipt carefully and noticed that on a number of items I did not get the discount ... I mentioned this to the cashier, who said discounts are based on the color of the nylon string that attaches the colored tag to the clothing. Nowhere in the very large sign does it say this. I spoke to a manager who told me the same thing. I pointed to the sign clearly showing blue tag and she told me the same thing, based on color of piece that attaches. I enjoy resale shopping and although the prices are great, I still resent being ripped off by signage saying and visually suggesting one discount structure and then being charged based on another. Goodwill, you need to be more transparent and more scrupulous in your signage ... we as consumers deserve that integrity regardless of whether you are resale or not. read more

The people who work here are courteous and nice to deal with. I always enjoy my visits. I often find some pretty good deals on things. Never know what you will find. Grabbed everything from shoes, to mid century paintings, glassware, weights, electronics.. you name it. This and Waldorf Thrift are my two favorites. read more

We used to LOVE this place - great items - great prices. BUT, starting about a week ago, the pricing in this Goodwill has noticeably increased. My wife and I spoke with several of the other customers who made similar comments. As we were leaving (without a purchase) we spoke to the cashier who said "I have heard that a lot." She said we could speak to the manager and called Casseem (sp). We asked if there was a new pricing person because the prices have increased out of a Goodwill range. Example of a small low end children table and 2-chairs with broken legs on each item was priced at $34.99... Casseem's response was the store was not making enough money or words to that effect. I told him that Salvation Army has over priced their items and we (along with many others) have stopped going there and the once per year we do, we have only seen 1 or 2 people there. We have bought many things AND donated a LOT of items to Goodwill over the years and honestly, With Casseems attitude, we might start looking elsewhere. The fact that Casseem would put his commission over the welfare of his customers is disgraceful. This is Goodwill. Items are donated. It is not Sax 5th Ave. This Goodwill used to be full of customers regardless of when we went but over the last two weeks, ... not so much. Too bad - how one person can ruin a store. Rarely find anything here anymore. I used to be able to find some nice books or records at the least but I can't find anything in here now. Also the prices are ridiculous! To make it worse, this goodwill doesn't even adhere to other guide will terms or sales like $1 Thursdays or if you donate they'll give you 20% off... I like going to thrift stores just to see what they have. You never know what you might find! This thrift store is a little more expensive compared to other thrift stores that I have been too. But they have a nice selection of products and I feel like every time I go they have a bunch of discounts which is always great. read more

This goodwill pretty much sucks. I went there lookin' for some cute vintage shirts & highwaisted pants, but nothing was there! The sizes are really off. A size one looks like a sixoor eight. Price-wise its the same as any Goodwill. It opened late last year and appeals too older people. Not good quality its looks reall dusty. read more

I haven't used the store yet (live near Edgewater and Annapolis stores) but helped sister and myself downsize and took many carloads of linens, kitchen things and clothes to Waldorf. The staff that takes donations were pleasant and hardworking at the various times I came-- even when very hot or cars backed up into the street. And no one told us our donated and very expensive patio chaises were " too dusty" to accept after being stored under a tarp for the winter, like in Annapolis read more

I love this Goodwill! found several very nice outfits and household items that I would had paid tons of money for but got it very cheap. A thrift store is like any other thrift store. You have to be there at the right time or day to luck up and find something. Its not like a regular store where there would be several sizes and colors of an item, and keep in mind their getting donations from people not ordering them so the sizes will range... Duhh?? Maybe someone or several people got there before you and got them all.....I've also been to other thrift stores and could not find anything at all but that was just at that time I went.
