Good prices for a good cause. Never a long wait to check out and the staff is extremely friendly!

Crowded but quiet so you are able to look around in peace. Good variety of items in the store with reasonable prices. Clothing area is organized and easy to navigate. And they always have plenty of carts to use for the customers. One complaint would be there are several items we picked up and would have purchased but the price tag was not on the item.

Believe it or not, it is better organized then some of the independent, little thrift stores I've been to. The clothing items are sorted by size, not by color, which I feel like is the more efficient way to find what you're looking for. The purses and wallets are all hung up next to each other, not on top of one another, so you could easily view and select the ones to your liking. I found some treasures. Even the books are organized by author, which is very rare in a thrift store. The books are a bit pricier at $5.99 for a paperback. It depends on what day you go on, as certain days offer better discounts. They even have a section of formal dresses, like bridal and prom gowns, that all looked very presentable. They have the viral jewelry jars, which are very trendy on TikTok. Everything is at this Savers! Please don't sleep on it!

As one of the previous reviewers stated, whether you love or hate this place will really depend on…read morethe kind of thrifter you are. If you generally prefer cleaner, higher-end Goodwill's and consignment boutiques then this place will probably seem like a grimy hellhole packed with filthy trash. However, if you're like me and grimy hellhole's packed with filthy trash are where you do most of your shopping, then you're in for one hell of a treat. Just walking through the parking lot, someone in a beat-up old hatchback slowed down and stopped to try and bum a cigarette off me. That's when I knew this was a place I needed to be. When I walked in, I was not disappointed. First thing you see upon entering is the housewares aisle which boasts an impressive selection of old dishes, coffee percolators, old scuffed-up serving trays and coffee mugs, and above that an entire wall full of ugly paintings. The clothing section was exemplary. Paisley and corduroy were in abundance and blazers could be found in almost any idiotic color you could imagine (I found and purchased a bright purple one). Plenty of old coats and sweaters too. On the downside, the hours are kinda weird so when they're open they get slammed, they don't take cards but they have an ATM and finally, they didn't seem to have very good AC when I came here and it was pretty damn hot inside. Personally, I don't mind trying on wool sweaters when its hot and muggy (hell, I'm gonna wear 'em out in the heat either way) but I know that's probably a turn-off for a lot of you. Overall, while Waterbury is certainly a hike for this Hudson Valley NY resident, I would definitely make it a point to come here whenever possible. Easily one of the best thrift shops in the area.

Sharing your good things with the world is the way to go. Head over to the biggest and most…read morereputable place to donate and put used or unused items to good use. 'Tis the season to give anything you haven't used in the past few seasons! Clean out those closets making room for holiday gifts. All kind of people come looking for bargains or necessities. Give them something to smile about. Don't be a hoarder!. Give and be happy that someone has the things you once loved. The house looks better. The closet is easier to find your favorite items. The basement never looked so good. The garage doesn't need those good items going old. Wash fold and put them in a nice bag so they don't get damaged in handling. Bigger items can be brought to the back. If we all gave more we could produce less. Save the earth of unneeded pollution. A gift to SA is a bigger gift to yourself.

I agree with the previous post. I came to this store in March and I had to hunt down a worker to…read morefind out prices on almost every single item. I was told a dress was 24.99 one day and the following day they told me it was 8 dollars - it has nothing to do with the daily color discount. It legitimately seemed like the person was just making a price up every time. When I went back yesterday, i thought id pay more attention, because there HAS to be a system. In any given section there will be tags with an individual price, while the rest of the clothes in that section have a plastic stem, with no tag. I noticed on the back wall there was a small prize list that gave the general prices of for general itmes. For example "dresses are $6.49 and up" which made me think OH! The untagged dresses are 6.49 and the rest were labelled to their determine price. WRONG, when I went the cashier he told me the dress with no tag was 14.99. It made no sense. It made me feel Like he just looked at me and made up a price he thought i would pay. Its a bad vibe. I love to support salvation army and have never seen another salvation run this way. Its not right. The prices are WAY higher than other stores, but that might be to make up for the rent they have to pay in an expensive vacationy spot. I support them pricing things as they need to help people in the community, i do not appreciate feeling like people are just looking to guess how Much money id pay and having that be the price.
