There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.

I have had mental problems my entire life major depression and let me tell you that Daymark in…read moreSalisbury should fire the doctor that prescribes medication I think his name is Darren. That man was offensive, rude, offputting and demeaning to me the entire video visit then comes in the room with me to tell me that I dont need any mental health medication after 1 visit! I proceeded to let him know that I would be visiting another psychiatrist seeing as though there are plenty other reputable offices around. If your in a mental episode then run dont walk away from Daymark they are a joke and dont care about your mental health at all it's the equivalent of attending an online college they're just in it for the money. I finally found a better mental health center in kannapolis and they care about my needs thanks for absolutely nothing Daymark and I hope Doge shuts you down for good!

I would give this place negative stars if I could, DARREN STEELE is a joke. he is a crappy…read morecounselor, i was referred to daymark to receive a substance abuse assessment, instead of doing 40 hours of treatment, he put me in INTENSIVE OP. Because i failed for alcohol, i drank 2 beers to Celebrate my 30th birthday which just so happened to be the only available appointment they had. Alcohol has played absolutely no part in any of my substance-abuse, and to be put in intensive outpatient which is 108 hours 9am-12pm monday, wednesday & friday.. instead of 40 hours 1hour classes monday-wednesday, is ridiculous. It interferes with my job and when I told him that, he just shrugged his shoulders and told me that I could work second shift. I own my own business, which requires me to be available all working business hours. He has absolutely no regard for any one's best interest. all of his classes consist of him reading three or four papers repeatedly, which does nothing to help anybody. I will get my 508 forms in order to get my license back, regardless of his recommendation of intensive outpatient treatment. **The only reason Daymark is in business is because the state refers people in there, otherwise they would be nothing more than a thorn in the side of the community in which they portray to "help".** THE FRONT OFFICE: it is sad how you get treated as soon as you walk in the door, they have miserable unhelpful people working the front desk. There inability to relay information and requests efficiently has caused me personally, a great deal of inconvenience. The attitude of one lady in particular, is very abrasive, unhelpful and rude to say the least. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR SOBRIETY. THEY ARE NOT HERE TO HELP YOU. THEY ARE HERE FOR A PAYCHECK, AND NOT THE CLIENTS BEST INTEREST AND IT SHOWS.

It's difficult to review a place you want to like, if only for the concept it emulates and what it…read morehas to offer. The Inn is a coffeehouse, a music venue, a place for kids to hang out, and a place to attend church services. "Christian" Rock bands from all over NC and surrounding states have played here. The biggest difficulty here is the lack of an audience. Once the church service lets out Saturday evening, the folks go home and don't stick around for a rockin' good time. The bands are good, original, not just quickly thrown together wannabe's, they play for the sake of playing, and there's a full blown light show to go along with the music. The real issue is with those who call themselves "Christians" yet do not support the venue. When a venue for "Rock bands with a message" is ignored by the very people who should support them, that tells you the "religious" demographic isn't interested in outreach, which is a shame for everyone involved. I'm hoping The Inn sees success.
