The store also has a large cosmetics section, eyeglasses, a photo studio, sells other household goods, and is now selling appliances. All in all, JCPenny provides what I'm generally seeking.

I think my wife and I have been to nearly EVERY antique store (close to & adjacent to Highway 169) between Elk River and Grand Rapids. Let me tell you, there are some horrible stinkers that call themselves antique stores. But North Bound is easily one of the best...if not THE best of them all. North Bound is technically a "mall" with many vendors. But they're way above average with some fantastic vendors. They could hold their own with any antique mall in Minneapolis and St. Paul. And the building is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. The best vendors seem to be in the front of the store. These are the ones that have the biggest, rarest, and most expensive items. Be prepared to fork out some dough if you want to buy something big and rare. They have brand-new hand-made crafts of different kinds peppered throughout the store too. We decided to stop in with the entire family, including our kids on our way home to Iowa from Minnesota. You will find many trinkets, gifts, souvenirs and toys at this popular road side attraction. As they say " there is something for everyone" The shop is filled from top to bottom with "stuff" Nothing I needed to buy, haha, but the kids definitely find it exciting. We have driven by it for many years so it was interesting to see what this place was all about. My boys left with a toy gun, a pirate parrot that sits on your shoulder and pirate treasures. A choice that not only cost him money, reputation it also cost him future opportunities to buy inventory for his store. All for a chance to put a measly $7 in his pocket rather than comprehend that choice just terminated a relationship with 3 other individuals that regularly bring him fresh & effortless inventory that sells itself to his customers. She consistently checked in on me while I waited for things to wash and dry. To wash a weighted blanket (15lbs), 2 large blankets, a half size blanket and 8 curtain panels, it cost $19. Which I consider worth it considering I was able to wash and dry all with in an hour. Compared to how long it would have taken had I washed in my apartment building.
