Predatory pricing. Beware. I just found common depression glass marked at 40 dollars that can be purchased on Etsy for 5 dollars. This is common here

Aquatalia booties $19.99 and Cole Haan purse $19.99.

I try to go to the Silverdale Goodwill whenever I head on down to the Costco, since it's right across the street from it. The store is clean, the employees are nice and helpful, and they usually have pretty great things available. I have found plenty gems here! The only reason I don't make it a point to go more often than not, is the pricing. They overprice on about 80% of their items. I understand they are trying to make a profit, but when you find something for $19.99 and they sell it new for $25, it doesn't really make you feel like you're winning here. They often have a great selection of shoes, but again, too many are overpriced. I understand they are name brands, but when they are used and worn, and DONATED, they have to be realistic. Their dresses, pants and blouses are also a bit overpriced, and paying $9.99 just seems a bit too much for a used blouse. But like I said, I have found a few gems here. You have to really dig around, come on the 'sale color' day, and know your brands. I feel like unknown famous brands can be overlooked and that's when you get a decent deal. Example: A pair of suede high heel Aquatalia boots for $39.99. Or Aquatalia suede booties for $19.99. If you don't know the brand, then you will be like, $40 bucks for boots! But luckily, if I find something in my size and I FEEL the quality, I google and snatch them up. They also recently took away their jewelry counter, so now you have to dig through little plastic bags with jewelry, which really sucks and is time consuming. The jewelry counter was such a selling point for me, since you often found great necklaces and earrings and were out of that section within 15 minutes. But if I only have a half hour to spend, I don't want to spend it moving baggies around tight little racks. (I posted some of my finds. Please don't judge my MacGyver Jewelry display! Haha) I'll tell you, if they lowered their prices, they would become a solid 4.5. I'd overlook the jewelry counter, and how tightly they pack certain rows of clothing. But for now, it's not one of my main thrift stores to hit because I can't validate spending so much on donated, used things. Unless they're gems, then I'll make the exception!

    $99 jacket with pilling.

Ok, I just had to leave a comment about this ridiculous Goodwill. I'm in the area for a trip and forgot a jacket. No worries, just pop into Goodwill and grab a cheap one and donate it back at the end of the week. Imagine my surprise when the used jackets are $49, $79, $99! What are these people smoking? You can literally see Costco from the parking lot. I went over there and got a nice (new) jacket for $20. Note the pilling on this jacket for $99! Insanity.

You never know what your going to find!!

Love, Love, Love this well stocked and well worked store. I always find cute clothes as does my husband, which can be a bit hard for the men's stuff. The employees are amazing, full of life, bustling with purpose. I cannot say enough good. Always a pleasure to set my feet there. Thank you Goodwill employees and managers, "Great Job!"

You can find anything at the Goodwill, even a pony!

I love this GOODWILL! Yes the prices are all over the place, but that's because you can get great deals on designer, vintage , and hard to find items. I am hesitant to give a good review because it's like giving away your secret shopping place. You have to have patience and know what you are looking for. The parking is a bear though.

Must be a former grocery store or something...

Donated clothes and watched the worker sneeze and wipe his nose into the sweats I just donated. Disappointed and disgusted.

The store can get a bit busy esp the parking lot can be very annoying. Although the some of the finds in here are well worth the stress.

Believe it or not this was a very busy GW, prices were pretty high. It was neat & tidy but I won't be a frequent shopper there.

However, I have some serious reservations about their handling of money and their customer service. I sent them a large donation a couple of months ago. Over a month later, it still had not been cashed. I called and no one answered so I had to leave a message. I left the message with their Finance and Operations Manager. I waited a week and still hadn't received a reply. I decided to put a stop on the check. Now, over a month after I left the message, still no reply. You would think a nonprofit would reply and try to get to the bottom of the problem if they were told a multi-thousand dollar check was sent to them and hadn't been cashed.
