This Goodwill has an easy to access drop off area and a helpful associate who assisted me with unloading a trunkload of stuff that my daughter had in storage, moved to Charlotte, stored in Charlotte and finally decided to get rid of. So I'm here to make it all go away. After dropping off, I figured that I would take a look around. Lots of interesting used stuff including furniture, kitchenwares, lots of glasses and picture frames and of course, clothes out the wazoo. Prices for most were clear and all were a bargain. THE BEST location to find clothing in the Charlotte area. I've never been here and not bought at least 5 articles of clothing. Everything is well organized BY COLOR and store feels clean. I've found new and/or barely worn of familiar brand names like The Loft, Talbots, Forever21, and brands often found in TJMaxx stores. I don't mind finding a new gym top to change up my active wardrobe. I've found Fabletics, Avia, 90 degrees by Reflex. read more

Worst goodwill in the area. Unfriendly staff. Low moral. Overall I would say if you don't want to work retail DONT. Employees on the floor complaining. If I breath wrong I'll get fired. So I'm guessing the management is the problem. Weddington store is wonderful and everyone is so pleasant. However my fave is Idlewild. read more

I was in need of a coffee table for my living room and dress shirts for my zoom calls. Didn't want to spend too much - this goodwill came through ! Found a LEATHER storage bench for $15 and plenty of options for shirts. Staff were helpful and they helped me load the bench to my car. I will be back ! read more

Trash. Literally. Walk in and there is a strong smell. Ok, understandably so as it is a thrift store after all. Then clothing are all disorganized, no way to tell sizing. Bathroom is disgusting, let me not go into detail to describe. As I was sitting on a couch inside the store, the pungent smell literally made me had to get up. Lost all appetite to shop in the store any longer. Nothing great in this store either as far as inventor. I'd say 99% of the item cannot be reused. read more

UPDATE: The cranky guy who takes donations outside is still there, and ornery as ever. His attitude seems to have spread to some of the other employees, as well. Every time I come to this location and the older man is accepting donations, he makes some sort of negative comment to me. Last time, I brought some throw pillow forms to donate. He pushed the box back in my arms and said "no bed pillows." I replied with, "Cool. These aren't bed pillows," and he made a face at me before taking the box back. Another man snapped at me to get back in my car because he wasn't ready to take what I brought. I was trying to be efficient with his time since someone had pulled in behind me. He told me to pull my car up so the other person could pull up too, but I couldn't hear him, so I asked "You want me to pull my car up?" He shouted back "YES. Pull your car up!" These guys make it seem like they're doing me a favor by taking items I'm donating to this company. They make for poor ambassadors of the Goodwill brand and should not be public-facing with the way they treat people. read more

I love poppin' me some tags but this Goodwill could use some work. Compared to other Charlotte area Goodwills this one was less organized, less bright, less clean, and had less nice options. Maybe it was just the day, but I've been to some very good stores and there's lots of room for improvement. The main issue here is the parking lot, severe traffic issues with how the street, drop off locations, and parking is situated. I wouldn't consider shopping this location again. read more

All the clothes are sorted by color and not size so it made it super hard to find my size...I got frustrated and left without buying anything. Sort by size to make it easier to find things please! Cashier was extremely friendly! read more

Mostly used this Goodwill location as a donation site. My last donation experience wasn't a great one... I had packed up my clothes that either don't fit or I just don't wear anymore into a nice box. There are some pressure strips that probably alert the staff as you drive up to the donation door so someone comes out and helps you unload your stuff. The guy didn't really say too much... must have been a long day. I usually don't ask for a receipt unless I donate electronics and such. I do remember taking our old family computer here back in the day. It was pre-IBM386, but was still in working order and had a rad amber colored monitor. The staff thanked us for the donation and then proceeded to chuck the computer and components into the large bin with all the other electronics... guaranteed that the computer had a 50% chance of not working anymore. I shop a lot of Goodwill stores daily. I have an idea of what is in line and what is out of line. This store seems a bit overpriced compared to some of the other stores. I didn't find any great treasures here. There was nobody putting out bushels of wares when I was there. This store is 30 min from my house and probably not worth the ride. I will stick to Matthews and Ballantyne. Glad I went. Don't need to return. read more

I'm really surprised that I haven't written a review about this thrift store yet! I've been all over Charlotte since I moved here looking for a good store that I'd frequent most often for my random whims and adventures. Lo and behold, this location is in my own back yard. Ok, well not reallllly my back yard, more like my own back street, down another street, and then in a plaza... but it's relatively close to me. This location has proven to be the best time and time again when I'm on a clothing binge, or a random piece of furniture. I found a ton of Express Studio work pants for next to nothing and they look like new. Talk about ecstatic!!! I also got a huge picture to go in my bedroom that runs the length of the wall for only $25. This Goodwill is hands down my favorite location. My only complaint is that they don't have the pants divided up into sizes, so it's sort of a random free for all. But I'm pretty crafty when it comes to sniffing out a good deal, so I find what I'm looking for every time. :) read more

This store is organized and clean. I find what I want each time for a very affordable price! Staff is friendly and willing to help.

Dropping off items for donation and gentleman working there has a very abrasive tone. Not very welcoming when trying to give away quality free stuff. Will rethink my choice of agencies in the future at least in this area. read more

You never know what you'll find in here... but I found 2 like new chairs for my living room for under $50! I have also found some nice crystal glasses (including goblets, flutes and whiskey glasses), as well as silver plates and stuff for the kitchen. I frequent this Goodwill-you don't always find what you're looking for but when you do, it's so worth it! read more

This Goodwill is probably the busiest in Charlotte and has above-average selection in each dept. They have good variety of clothes, shoes, books, furniture, and housewares. The selling point at this store (as you might have guessed by reading my views) is the book selection. Unlike other stores, they have a steady rotation of new titles, nearly new for really cheap. I'm regularly surprised by their furniture selection. If my house wasn't cluttered like your grandma's crib, I would pick up a table or even a couch here! Also, this place is freakin' Mecca for used appliances. I always see a selection of used microwaves, coffee makers, and blenders. The clothes are nice, not as nice as the Matthews Plantation, but you can still find some amazing deals on brand name clothes. Please be warned: Saturdays is NOT a good day to shop due to crowds of crying, screaming children. Plus, you wouldn't want to get in altercation with aggressive shoppers over a $1 beer stein. Try a weekday before 6 or so. Happy treasure hunting! read more

This store is clean and well organized. The employees are very friendly and helpful, but it's hit or miss as far as finding nice quality clothes here. I realize it's all up to what kind of donations they get, but they don't seem to get the really good stuff at this location IMO. read more

More of a country style goodwill but its cool had what I need for cheap

There were a lot of nice clothes here, many of them name brand. The cashier was also really sweet. It was pretty organized as well.

I love this store, the staff is great too. You never know what you will find. I have helped many people find treasures (clothing, furniture, rugs, games etc.). read more
