Man... if you love books, do yourself a favor and stop by this place. I had NO idea there were this many options. Shelves packed with everything you could think of, and I found myself wandering around way longer than I planned (which is never a bad thing in a bookstore ). The ladies working there were incredibly sweet and welcoming from the moment I walked in. You can tell they genuinely enjoy helping people. Bibliophiles dream. Huge selection of (mostly) well maintained books, arranged beautifully, easy to browse, and priced correctly to keep reading accessible to all. I read 2-3 books a week, and this satiates my reading habit. AND you can re-donate books when youre done, for others to enjoy! Staff is helpful too! read more

I always find a multitude of books that interest me and the books are in very good shape considering they're used - most of them were never read before. This Goodwill location is a fantastic bookstore...and it is oh so fabulous! No need to dig through dusty boxes of donated goods. Oh no! The crew keeps the shelves neatly organized in categories that you would find in traditional bookshops. In addition to books, there are all sorts of games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, and more! Books are well organized. By topic and author. Clean, good lighting, and has pleasant staff.

Dropped off a load of books, some expensive, today and the lady that "waited" on me was rude and unpleasant. The first question she asked was if I wanted a receipt and I said yes and she thrust it towards my hand. I unloaded all the books myself into the two carts and then I watched in horror as she just tossed them into a big blue bin with zero concern for maintaining their excellent condition and perfect bindings. This is the "new" location from the site at Bee Ridge @ Cattlemen. Easy to get to, and adequate parking. The books in this store are well-organized by genre, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have lots if cookbooks, fiction, history, religious, and art. It's a new building, so a/c blows cold, which makes shopping a pleasure. read more

This is a wonderful book store with great buys! The prices are fabulous and the staff is very, very helpful. The last time I shopped there, I realized my phone was missing when I got home. I returned to the store a minute before closing time - but Cheryl and the manager Donna jumped in to help me every way they could. They called my cell with their phones to see if it was in the store. No ring. But they helped me search the store in case the ringer was turned off. They were super concerned and did all in their power to help me. Thank you ladies! In the end, I found my iPhone in my car (in the pocket of my passenger side door where it somehow landed when I dropped by bag of new books on the passenger seat. When I got home there was a message on my phone from Cheryl asking if I'd found it. I happily let her know I did! The help and concern of both these Goodwill employees shows their genuine passion for helping others!
