What a gem of a shop . Well, today was similar - quite happy browsing for hours . Between my wife and I we left with no fewer than ten tomes . And I had to restrain myself from carting out more . This is one of those places - a genuine throwback that does it right . Great and varied selection - and fairly priced too. A treasure on a great little street for sure .

She was out there looking for specific books for people, which is not something you see at most used bookstores nowadays. Everything in here was good quality, and the store was very well kept. If you didn't know better, you might think everything on the shelves is actually new! Great location, convenient in they little downtown area to walk and pop in other places for lunch/shopping. Not really, but it is nice to be greeted every time. My very personal, may not be an issue for anyone but me, option is it is a little difficult to browse the books in the angled book shelves up by the windows. The prices are still a little higher than is reasonable in my mind, but you have to expect that coming to a Barnes & Noble. They did have a few sales here when I came, though, and one was on some collector Harry Potter books which I couldn't resist. This is a great addition to the University Town Center area.

It seems small, but it has a good layout with a decent selection for all age groups I am shopping for. I grew up on the stores that had stages in the kid space, multiple lounge areas to "test out" the book, and no WiFi so students couldn't use the the tables in the cafe for hours at a time. With this set up, unfortunately, it isn't as inviting as they used to be. Never had a bad trip, but never wanted to take my time perusing the shelves. I asked male employee at help desk where to find puzzle books, he said "over in corner" and kept…read moretyping. I waited a beat but he didnt look up to acknowledge me, so I walked away saying just never mind, but saw 2 other women approach him & he then promptly led them to their book. I went to check out counter and told the lovely lady named Kristen(?)of my ordeal, she led me to books. I was visibly upset and stating why would he be this way. Male employee heard me & said he was in the middle of something and would have shown me, why could he not have used common courtesy, looked up & said just to give him a minute and would show me. No problem immediately showing other women their books! This is a nice place to go and relax and he ruined atmosphere, thankfully Kristen(?) was there.
