The manager on duty, Leslie De La Cruz, was shockingly rude, dismissive, and made absolutely no effort to understand or address my situation. The bag in question wasn't just any item it was a meaningful gift from a cherished friend, and it was donated without my approval. I approached the store calmly, simply looking for a reasonable resolution. Instead of listening or offering even a hint of assistance, Leslie repeatedly shut me down, showed no empathy for my discomfort, and acted as if my concerns were an inconvenience. All I asked for was a basic form of compensation, such as a refund or a gift card equal to the value of the donated bag. This was a fair and respectful request given the circumstances, yet the manager chose to offer nothing not even a sincere apology. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied, not only because of the loss of a sentimental item, but because of the unacceptable treatment I received from someone who is supposed to represent the store's values. Customers deserve respect, understanding, and professionalism, none of which were shown to me during this interaction. At that time, I noticed a lot of reorganizing and restructuring going on, but the store was still enjoyable and affordable. Unfortunately, as of today (12/20/2025), the store has gone completely downhill. The layout is so unorganized that carts can barely fit down the aisles, making it frustrating just to move around. Even worse, the prices are outrageously high for a place that claims to be a thrift store. Items that were reasonably priced just six months ago are now marked up to the point where I spent nearly $100 on things that used to be inexpensive. What truly disappoints me is that this is supposed to be a Christian nonprofit organization that helps widows find lodging after the loss of their spouse. Seeing political messaging in the store--particularly pro-Israel messaging--felt completely out of place and in direct conflict with Christian beliefs. It left me questioning how and why this direction was taken. Overall, the experience was sickening and deeply disappointing. The store now rivals Goodwill in both disorganization and inflated pricing, and that is not a compliment. I will not be returning. Don't waste your money here. They basically have antique store prices, definitely not thrift store prices. They also have stopped taking donations at times because they're so full. But it's because their prices are too high and nothing sells. Their employees are always kind, but they're always severely understaffed and half the time they can't answer your questions because they always need to call the owner first. This applies to BOTH locations. I would buy so much more from them if they had fair prices, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
