No one ever contacted us for any additional information. I called multiple times, left messages. No one ever called me back. I spoke with a girl that was at the front desk the day of the party she took all my information for us to get there and nothing was set up and she was the only working that day. & they still made us pay full price. After promising us an extra hour of party time we did not get because the facility closes at 6 and the party was supposed to be 4-6. We originally asked for 1-3 they told us no because there was another party taking place, then we find out there was never a party from 1-3. The party planner never showed up, I talked to her on the phone and she was not empathetic to our situation at all. If it wasnt for the front desk girl Arianna there would have been no party for my daughter. If you like unprofessionalism and unorganized events have the party but for your own sanity DO NOT BOOK A PARTY AT NEW BRIGHTON YMCA!! ZEROOOOO STARS!!!!!

They made so many silly errors after writing our homestudy that is has cost us several months of waiting and is now the only thing delaying us in being matched with our child. my husband and I myself actually have caught and recognized many of their mistakes that they should have. Our international agency is even exasperated with them. It frustrated me so much that we have spent thousands using them and wasted so much valuable time.

Adoption Connection went above and beyond to get my family through the process of getting our foster license within a specified time frame. Everyone that we worked with was compassionate, knowledgeable, understanding, accommodating, and never once made us feel like we were a burden with our constant questions and concerns, even when it was after hours. What they do here is not a small feat. What goes into to what they accomplish here is many man hours of a dedicated workforce. On top of those that are employed this place also depends on the many that walk through those doors and chip in whenever they can. While here I was told that some of the volunteer days that they have planned are booked months in advance. The facility is top notch and runs like a well oiled machine. However they have said that they have already outgrown this facility space. Even though that may be the case, they don't let that stop their mission. The families that the GPCFB reach are many and without them would not be able to maintain a home life that is perceived as normal. What little you can give is greatly appreciated and there are donation bins inside the front doors. Did you know that they get more donations for items that are considered junk food than healthy food items? That trail mix does seem nutritious, but what really helps them out was that fruits, vegetables, meat and the like.

In these dire, murky economic times where the gulf between the wealthy and the impoverished is only growing, food banks are as essential as they've ever been, and The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank has been meeting that need throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania for more decades than I've been alive. Annually, the Food Bank allocates 21 million pounds of food from their Duquesne warehouse via manifold avenues not limited to senior citizen centers, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and pantries.
